Tacoma and the South Puget Sound have a handful of really fun mountain bike trails, and some great mountain bike parks. As more people discover how much fun mountain biking is, new trails continue to be built all over the area, too. Recent trail developments have brought great riding for cross country mountain bike riders and downhillers alike. Best of all, the mountain bike parks like Tacoma’s Swan Creek, and Gig Harbor’s 360 Park can be accessed by a quick 15 minute drive. 360 Park has some of the biggest jumps and freeride features in the South Sound, too. Mountain bike parks like these are a ton of fun and offer a great place to build skills and stay in shape. Meanwhile, areas like the Banner Forest and Black Diamond Open Space have miles of singletrack cross country mountain biking to explore.
