Learn MoreJen Gurecki is a trailblazing entrepreneur who’s challenging the outdoor industry's traditional "shrink it and pink it" approach to women's ski and snowboard gear. As the co-founder and CEO of Coalition Snow, Jen is committed to creating performance-driven gear designed specifically for women by women.
For Jen, starting Coalition Snow was about filling a void in the industry with high-quality women's equipment that didn't rely on a predetermined male or unisex template. But Jen’s focus on helping women doesn’t stop with outdoor gear. She’s also the founder of Zawadisha, a social enterprise that provides small loans to rural Kenyan women. Zawadisha’s model is pro-poor, pro-woman, and pro-environment.
Jen’s goal is to help shred the bias in the outdoors, business, and society as a whole. Through Coalition Snow, she’s helped foster a community of women who support and empower each other. The brand helps drive conversations about equality through a variety of channels, including a podcast and a quarterly magazine.
Coalition Snow has made an impact on the industry with a boldly feminist approach since its founding in 2014. However, Jen feels that there’s still a long way to go when it comes to gender equality in the outdoors. While momentum has been building in recent years, Jen emphasizes the need for a bigger systemic change - one that’ll require the industry to embrace new perspectives and ideas.
Jen is on a mission to deconstruct the status quo and elevate the voices of women everywhere. She’s a pioneer of a progress who’s helping lead the way toward a more equal and inclusive world.
