The Burton Family Tree High Fidelity Splitboard is your key to conquering remote big mountain lines. Designed for the adventurous spirit, it offers the stability and precision needed for high-altitude ascents and thrilling descents. When you crave the freedom to explore untouched terrain, this High Fidelity splitboard delivers an unparalleled experience.
Directional Camber – This board bend has entry rocker that adds lift to the nose while a camber section under both feet maintains momentum and stability through deep-driving turns and variable conditions. This bend caters to those who like the attributes of traditional camber but want something that will get up to speed and float easier in powder.
Personality – 6 - 9 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff)
Directional Flex – This flex features increased pop in the tail and a more resilient nose that allows riders to easily maintain control through all terrain and conditions.
7mm Taper
Directional – The classic snowboard shape, designed to be ridden with a slightly longer nose than tail to concentrate pop in the tail while still giving you plenty of float, flow, and control to rip any terrain or condition.
Pro-Tip – A tapered tip and tail thickness reduces swing weight for easier mobility.
Balanced Freeride Geometry – Balanced Freeride Geometry ends the debate between twin and directional with setback camber and a sidecut that is centered on your stance to create a twin freestyle feel when riding flat base. On edge it turns tight and quick with the float and prowess expected from a directional deck.
FSC™ Certified Super Fly II™ 700G Splitboard Core – Stronger and lighter woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduced weight.
Squeezebox – Burton's most versatile Squeezebox profile improves pop and performance through the balance of thicker, more powerful core sections with thinner, more flexible sections. Rider energy is transferred outward from beneath the feet, energizing the tip and tail while making the board snappier, more stable and easier to manipulate.
45° Carbon Highlights – Carbon Highlights optimizes each layer of the fiberglass matrix and adds a full tip-to-tail carbon layer to reduce weight and fine tune torsional feel to achieve different ride characteristics. A 60° fiber angle creates a highly maneuverable and playful feel, while a 45° fiber angle provides more aggressive ride.
Sintered WFO – Infusing a specially formulated wax deep into the pores of this extra-absorbent, high-density sintered material results in an ultra-durable base that stays wide open all season and in any condition.
Infinite Ride™ – This Burton-exclusive technology allows maximized pop and strength by overbuilding the board, then putting it in a machine that breaks in the board for you. Whether you choose to ride Flat Top, Flying V™, or Camber, rest assured that with Infinite Ride™ your board will maintain its flex, pop, and feel from the first day forward, season after season.
Super Sap® Epoxy – A resin formulated with bio-based materials that reduces the carbon footprint by 50% over conventional all-petroleum-based epoxies. Less oil consumption means even less of a carbon footprint per board.
The Family Tree Collection – Based on existing shapes, but tweaked to make them even better for your ultimate day of riding, the Family Tree boards come in a range of gender-neutral sizes and shapes built for all types of riders. Designed for powder, but capable of conquering any terrain, these deep-seeded shapes shine from the resort to the backcountry.
Split Channel System – The strongest, fastest, easiest, and most adjustable splitboard mounting system.

Part of getting to those epic BC lines is having a kit that is up to snuff and the Burton Hitchhiker Splitboard Bindings will be a major piece in that puzzle. Boasting a burly, yet lightweight aluminum baseplate designed by Spark R&D for climbing convenience and descending confidence. A dual position, single wire ramp adjuster changes angle on the fly when you climb. Going up is half the fun and when going down, fully adjustable straps will lock down your boots into a high performance, single component highback in a flash. If you're ready to break out of the confines of the resort and want gear you can rely on then give the Burton Hitchhiker Splitboard Bindings a ride.
Spark R&D Tesla T1 Single Wire Baseplate – A single fatty wire built into the baseplate switches easily from stowed, to low (12°), to high (18°) climbing positions and back again while touring. Eliminating the second wire saves weight and fiddle time.
Hammockstrap™ – Reactstrap roots in a stitchless construction for ultra-response with minimal materials. The addition of a nylon cross spine equals a more direct connection with the board.
Flex Slider – Makes the ankle straps move out of the way so you can step into the binding without obstruction. Burton's Flex Slider has a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Supergrip Capstrap™ 2.0 – This minimalist design merges two materials into one technologically advanced toe strap. A firmer material in the spine provides a supportive and lightweight skeleton, while a softer over-molded material improves boot wrap and comfort.
Double Take Buckles w/ Insta-Click – Be the first to drop in with the rapid ratcheting of Burton's Double Take Buckles. Helical teeth and "Insta-Click" engagement combine for increased torque per crank, faster uptake, and fewer cranks to tightness. The result: vastly improved strength, speed, and ease-of-use.
Quick-Adjust FLAD™ – Burton's tool-free forward lean adjustment.
Burton-Designed Single-Component Negative Lean Hi-Back – The simplicity of a one-piece hi-back means immediate response. Through material blends we then manipulate the overall flex profile—from buttery to responsive.
True OTT Hi-Back Padding – Wrapping the upper portion of the hi-back with padding eliminates pesky pressure points.
Mounts directly to 2015 and newer Burton splitboards without any additional hardware needed.
To mount the Hitchhiker Binding to any other splitboard, you must purchase additional hardware, such as Spark R&D Spark Pucks, or pucks from Voile USA. Sold separately.
Crampon Compatability – The new Tesla T1 baseplate is only compatible with the Burton Crampon and Spark Ibex Crampon.
Medium-Stiff Flex – Helps with quick, technical maneuvers, even at high speeds. Great for all-mountain carving, powerful freeriding and charging through the terrain park.
Features Re-Ground Materials to Reduce Waste

Riders looking for a hassle-free experience on splitboard tours should take a serious look at the Burton Tourist Snowboard Boots. They deliver an ultra-smooth skin up with improved negative flex and impressive traction in sketchy zones thanks to the Rubber Ice Spikes. A full-custom Life Liner provides top-notch cushioning so you can bet your apres-beer you'll be ready to ride the next day. Tour-specific features and the time-tested comfort of Burton's boot construction makes the Burton Tourist Snowboard Boots quite the catch for determined splitters.
Increased Negative Flex for Improved Glide and Comfort in Touring Mode
Total Comfort Construction – Get an instantly broken-in feel right out of the box. Total Comfort's industry-exclusive construction eliminates the break-in period for a fit that feels just as good from day 1 to day 100.
1:1 Firm Flex PowerUP Tongue – Burton offers 1:1 lasting on every boot. It means every half and full size shell, tongue, and out sole offer a precise fit that is not as common as one would think. Drop your loot on a Burton boot and you won't be stuck with the slop of a mismatched shell and liner. PowerUP tongues feature additional dual-density material for rebound and durability.
Tuff Cuff – Ankle support and stability is mandatory in a pro-level snowboard boot. Tuff Cuff increases heel hold and wraps the ankle with medial and lateral support while still flexing freely from toe to heel.
Life Liner – The Life Liner fuses lightweight materials with a more relaxed feel for high-end performance that makes all the difference during long seasons filled with hard charging days. The responsive PU tongue construction provides a combo of cat-like quickness and long-term resistance to breakdown, while also accommodating a better fit for all foot shapes.
DryRide Heat Cycle™ Lining – Warmth and wicking are two key traits for on-snow comfort. Burton's breathable inner-lining technology utilizes interwoven thermally activated carbon thread to capture, radiate, and reflect body heat inward to keep feet warmer while also wicking heat-robbing moisture outward. Look for varying amounts and performance level of each liner.
Aegis™ Antimicrobial Coating – Antimicrobial coating on the lining of the boot fabric keeps your boots from creating their own mini-ecosystem of stink by preventing the growth of odor-causing bacteria.
Speed Zone™ Lacing System w/ *NEW Components – Strong and low-profile, Speed Zone™ Lacing features lightning fast lacing control while allowing you to customize the fit of the upper and lower zone in seconds. More power means more rebound, wrap, and response with less lacing effort. New England Ropes laces add a virtually indestructible character worthy of Burton's Lifetime Warranty.
New England Rope Laces – Offering warrantied-for-life performance, these natural fiber ropes equal a more natural flex and feel for greater all-day comfort.
Level 2 EVA Footbed – EVA Footbeds are lightweight, long-lasting and absorb shock.
ESS Support Shank – This is an added support feature to help soften hard landings.
Low-Profile EST® Optimized Midsole – EST® goes beyond bindings by drawing inspiration from the surf/skate heritage of snowboarding and giving you a more direct connection to your board. By eliminating the ramp angle of your outsole, EST lowers your center of gravity, improves board feel, and creates a more surf/skate-like feel. All without sacrificing an ounce of cushioning thanks to ultra-dampening ReBounce and B3 Gel Inserts.
Vibram® EcoStep™ – Made of 30% recycled materials. This outsole has excellent grip and traction from rubber ice spikes but remains lightweight. ReBounce Cushioning, EVA and B3 Gel in the heel and toe area for extra comfort.
Shrinkage™ Footprint Reduction Technology – This reduces the boot's overall footprint one full size, meaning a men's size 10 fits like a size 10 but has the footprint of a typical size 9. Shorter, lighter, sleeker - never suffer from toe drag again.
B3 Gel – Ultimate dampening formulated to withstand repeated impacts without breaking down or hardening up in cold temps.
ReBounce Cushioning – Brings cushioning closer to your foot than ever before by placing it within the shell of the boot for an added layer of impact protection that sits directly below your foot. Added warmth and consistent performance in cold temperatures is achieved by wrapping it in a heat-reflective material that keeps the cushioning soft and effective.
Sleeping Bag Reflective Foil – This low-profile and lightweight underfoot technology reflects heat back to the feet, improving both warmth and comfort when faced with cold conditions.
Rubber Ice Spikes – Soft and grippy overall with the added traction of stiffer spikes that dig into ice when slipping isn’t an option.
Snow-Proof Internal Gusset – All Burton boot tongues feature an internal gusset construction to completely seal the lower zone of the boot, keeping your feet warm and dry.
