You know a company like Armada couldn't just make a standard issue touring ski without putting their own twist on it. The all-new Locator series brings Armada's special blend of freestyle heritage and creative style to the ultralight touring market, and the outcome is something special. The Armada Locator 96 Skis are the most traditional touring skis in the series, with a sub 100 waist width and a respectably airy 1350 gram weight. But those techy uphill numbers are paired with smooth lines and tapered tips to make for a ski you can count on for long, technical missions without sacrificing any fun on the descents. Plus, they're unisex and come in two color options: so you can pick what's best for your style and stature.
EST Freeride Rocker – Forebody rocker and extra tip taper combine to create EST for optimized float in the soft stuff. Positive camber under foot with no tail rocker ensures these skis stay on rails when carving is the priority.
Flex (1=Soft, 10=Stiff) – Tip: 5 | Mid: 6 | Tail: 6
Caruba Core – Armada's lightest wood species creates the best uphill feel while retaining the power and dampness required for descending in the gnarliest of terrain. This core makes no concessions in its quest to be ultralight.
TI Binding Dampener – Below the binding, a sandwich of rubber, titanal, and finally more rubber works to dampen vibration that otherwise chatters into your bots and shortens your day. Ski bell to bell with extra damping provided.
Carbon Reinforcement – Specially placed carbon stringers add pop and stiffness without adding weight.
Comp Series Base – Sintered UHMW polyethylene with added carbon aids in speed and durability on snow.
1.7 Lightweight Edge – Light and strong, these heat-treated edges effect the feel of the ski minimally to ensure a snappy, lightweight feel.

The Salomon S/Lab MTN Alpine Touring Ski Boots have had a long successful run in the rapidly changing world of AT boot-land, and for good reason. They ski as well as many dedicated alpine boots, and still feature exemplary smoothness and mobility on the skintrack. The simple-but-effective design has proven to be durable and efficient in high alpine conditions, earning the boot many friends among hardcore ski tourists. Though its 98mm last is on the narrow end of the spectrum, the S/Lab MTN features a heat-moldable Grilamid shell that adapts itself well to wider feet with the Custom Shell heat molding process.
Last: 98 mm – Narrow forefoot with relaxed ankle and heel volume. Can be heat molded using the custom heat molding process to approximately 104mm in the forefoot.
Custom Shell HD – Salomon's proven heat molding process makes boot fitting most feet quick and easy - the latest Custom Shell HD version is even quicker to mold than before. The thinner wall construction and new shell materials allow the foot to be closer to the shell and provide enhanced sensations, more power and direction energy transmission.
Flex: 120 – A stiff flex suitable for expert level skiers.
My Custom Fit 3D Freetouring Liner – New pattern for a wider fit to avoid pressure points and new foam construction for cushier foothold and better durability.
Motion Flex – Touring cuff construction with a carbon and composite fiber spine. Allows for a high range of motion when skinning while guaranteeing a true and progressive alpine flex.
Sensifit Shell – Soft insert that allows for easy and smooth step-in.
