Armada AR7 Skis 2012: The Armada AR7 Skis are the best everyday ski on the market today for the all-mountain park skier. Whether you prefer to slide rails in the park, hit mini-golf cliffs on the mountain, or anything in between, this ski can handle it. The AR7 can be playful and creative one second and stiff and stable the next, just like you.
Positive Camber engages the tip and tail of the ski, enhancing ease of entry and exit into and out of a turn, while maintaining solid edge hold.
With an AR50 side wall, the ABS sidewall meets Cap construction, combining lightweight Cap construction in the tip and tail with ABS sidewall underfoot resulting in enhanced edgehold and significantly lower swing and overall weight.
The AR7 has a 2.5 edge, an oversized height and width and the steel heat-treated to a proprietary hardness which helps resist breaking and tearing out from rails, ledges, and other abuse.
The S7 base, Armada’s toughest base, features a gliding additive for increased speed and longevity.
The Laminate Matrix consists of three kinds of fiberglass laminates used in combination to deliver the exact amount of flex and torsional rigidity needed in the appropriate places.
A blend of Carbon/Kevlar stringers run along the tail of the ski to stabilize it, creating a better landing platform, increased snap and added pop.
The Hybrid Triple Zone core is a composed of three high density wood stringers that sit along ultra light wood for a powerful, durable core with explosive energy return. Triple Zone cores resist compression without creating unnecessary weight. ABS layers are pre-installed alongside the core directly underfoot to concentrate the weight of the ski below the boot sole to increase durability and lower swing weight.
Flex Pattern: tip - 6, waist - 8, tail - 7 (out of 10)
17.5m @ 161cm 116/83/106, 18.5 @ 166cm 117/84/107, 19.5m @ 171cm 118/85/108, 20.5 @ 176cm 119/86/109, 21.5 @ 181cm 120/87/110
We recommend a brake that is equal to the waist width and at most 20mm wider. (brake width = ski width + 20mm)
