Take flight like the beautiful boarder you are on the Jones Ultralight Butterfly Splitboard, a technical objective oriented tool for the backcountry. For techy snow to tight corners, its unique shape balances weight with performance, extending its effective edge while reducing weight. True Camber provides increased performance in variable off-piste conditions, and a fusion carbon construction with traction tech and top of the line splitboard hardware ensures you'll be ready when the snow falls. Migrate to the backcountry and bloom on the Jones Ultralight Butterfly Splitboard.
True Camber – A traditional full camber profile that offers the insane edge response of camber without the usual hang-ups. The camber radius tapers into the beveled 3D Contour Base at the tips which releases the edges where they like to hook and balances the pop and directional stability of camber with a looser, less-catchy feel.
Flex Rating – 8 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff)
Directional Flex Pattern
Forever Flex – All Jones boards are broken in using specialized machinery that mimics extreme riding use to help stabilize the flex and rocker profile of a board for it's lifetime.
3D Contour Base 3.0 – Freeride focused 3D Contour Base featuring a 7mm of spoon bevel in the nose and 0 - 7mm of spoon bevel in the tail. Spoon bevel starts at the rocker point.
8mm Taper – The tapered shape sinks the tail in pow for better float and quicker turns.
Blunt Nose – "How a board glides in powder, crust, corn or any snow more than an inch deep is dictated by it's front contact point and just past it. Next time you are in soft snow watch how much snow comes over the corner of the nose near the contact point. The billowing snow coming out from behind the tip means you are plowing through it which is obviously slowing you down. By adding a blunt nose you get the float benefits of a much longer nose without the 'snow plow' rounded tip and it's extra swing weight." - Jeremy Jones
Progressive Sidecut – At the far ends of the sidecut, the radius is incrementally increased as the edge reaches the contact point. Gradually increasing the sidecut radius towards the contact point delivers smoother turn initiation and exit as the edge tracks in and out of the snow with a less abrupt transition.
Double Radius Tips
Fusion Core – The Fusion Core is Jones' lightest wood core yet. Core is made from mostly paulownia with specifically positioned pockets of poplar for improved durability and response.
Koroyd® Core – Award-winning synthetic core material developed for the aerospace industry. Koroyd absorbs vibrations and adds response at a fraction of the weight of wood which enhances board control and riding confidence.
Fusion Carbon – This cutting edge board lay-up process is the latest evolution of our previous Fusion Tech construction and reduces board weight and improves durability by combining board materials in two stages.
Ultra Construction – Ultra Construction is the redefinition of what it takes to build a snowboard. Jones tested every inch of the board to precisely position materials exactly where they are needed while eliminating all excess materials. Combining these innovative construction techniques with superlight wood cores and carbon fiber deliver revolutionary results. Jones Ultra boards are the lightest, yet most durable snowboards on earth.
Fiberglass Reinforcement – Fiberglass layer improve pop in nose and tail plus increases the longevity of the flex profile. This lightweight layer helps the board perform the same on day 100 as it did on day one - precise and playful.
Recycled Rounded ABS – ABS plastic is one of the necessary evils of snowboard production. Jones improves the sustainability of their snowboards by using only recycled plastic.
Ultra Base – Jones exclusive base material that sets new performance standards. Lab results and snow testing show 25% better wax absorption, better glide in warm/wet snow and better durability for grinding. They've also doubled the amount of wax and mixed multiple wax types for a faster factory wax in a wider range of conditions.
Inside and Outside Traction Tech – Like a serrated knife slicing into the snow, Traction Tech improves your edge grip by adding multiple contact points along the running length of your board.
Outer Oversized Recycled Edges – All Jones boards are made with oversized recycled steel edges for added durability and improved production sustainability.
Inner Thin Recycled Edges – Advancements in ski edge durability allow Jones to use thinner edges to save weight.
Bolt-Less Bridge – The Bolt-Less Bridge eliminates split clip attachment hardware from the base of the board by re-profiling the wood core at the clips. The wood core under the clips is thicker providing better torsional stiffness and a more powerful connection at the split clips.
Karakoram Ultra Clips 3C with Tips Lock – Karakoram Ultra Clips 3C feature a three point tension system. Ultralight and exclusive to Jones, these clips redefine split clip technology. They are also adjustable so you can maintain even compression as your splitboard ages.
Wend Natural Wax – Jones boards are ready to shred straight out of the shop and are factory waxed with WEND natural wax.
Bio Resin – All Jones boards are now built with bio-based, renewable epoxy instead of petroleum based epoxy. The raw materials used to make Super Sap Bio-Resin are co-products or waste products of other plant-based industrial processes. Producing Super Sap requires 33% less greenhouse gas emissions than conventional epoxy.
Factory Tuned – All Jones snowboards are factory de-tuned at the tip and tail so you can go right from the shop to the mountain.

The best of the best for lightweight touring missions, the Karakoram Prime-X + Split Interface Splitboard Bindings are made with high quality materials that perform even better than they look. Titanium hardware, a C4 Carbon highback, and more make these strong yet nimble bindings a force to be reckoned with on the skin track. Complete with a Ride Mode 2.0 touring system that increases board power and provides seamless transitions, the Karakoram Prime-X + Split Interface Splitboard Bindings are a splitboarder's dream.
Dual Ride Stride – Saving energy in the backcountry can be the difference between going for a second lap, going for a longer tour, or going home because you’re wiped out. All Karakoram splitboard bindings come standard with Dual Ride-Stride forward lean. With a -8° forward lean setting, Stride Mode allows you to stride and glide further with every step. Dual Ride modes allow you to effortlessly switch between railing carves and surfing turns. Drive Mode consists of a preset useradjustable forward lean (0°-22°), and surf mode can be activated without unstrapping (11° or 0°). Simply turn and go. Dual RideStride is the fastest and easiest forward lean adjustment available.
Smooth Touring Pivot – Independent sleeves rotate freely on a fixed thru-axle, similar to a bike axle, making these stiff and smooth. They're wide for touring rigidity, they shed snow well, and the quick-releasing bracket allows for simple transitions.
Heel Lock – On-the-fly heel lock down Release load equivalent to DIN 6 Heel-Lock folds out of way when not needed
Dual Speed Riser with Heel Lock Pole Basket Flip – Flip up/down with pole basket on the fly. Retractable Heel-Lock included.
Active Joining – No slop with instant response. Pre-loaded contact points create an ultra solid connection between your bindings and splitboard.
Interlocking Seam Tabs – No separation: tabs interlock across the seam of your board, interlocking and pre-loading the two halves for a solid ride.
Snow Ejection Channels – Made from a carbon infused nylon, the Ride Mode 2.0 is designed to reduce snow build up and clear snow easily.
Asymmetric Heelcup – The high outside sidewall provides the best power transfer to your edges while touring. The dropped inside sidewall allows you the freedom of movement to tuck your knee in a turn or tweak a grab.
7075-T6 Open Chassis – CNC’d completely from 7000 series space grade aluminum, the open chassis allows your bindings to twist naturally with your board. Say no to dead spots under your feet.
