Product Info

Omatic Extr-emo (Team) Snowboard 2009: Omatic Extr-emo (Team) Snowboard - What’s that? Fitted cap not fresh enough for you no more? Those dope chains weighing you down? Is the ball jersey over the jacket look leaving a bitter taste in your mouth? Then you may be suffering from the increasingly common medical condition of Scene-fatigue-itis. You need a scene change. An extreme change. You need a change of scene only the EXTR-EMO can provide. Developed exclusively by Omatic design robots who endured a seemingly endless diet of Fall Out Boy videos, sad teenage poetry and mainstream media fear, the EXTR-EMO Snowboard rides so well you’ll want to cry. Scream-core speed and stretch-denim flexibility are complimented by VertWall™ construction and the laser profiled poplar wood core. Trying hard to look like you’re not trying hard has never been so effortless as on the Omatic Extr-emo.

Other Features

TRIAXIAL fiberglass matrix: This is designed to increase a boards responsiveness and edge grip by placing the fiberglass strands in three directions (0/+45/-45). This is one of the lightest fiberglass materials available. The +/-45 degree fiberglass direction focuses on the lengthwise flex while still maintaining a consistent stiffness throughout the board torsionally.

VERTWALL™ sidewall technology: Omatic’s 80-degree sidewall construction angle is designed to provide the most efficient energy transfer from edge to edge and dampening properties, increasing the board’s stability while riding through any type of snow terrain. Slanted sidewall technology offers exceptional torsional rigidity, excellent snap, and all-mountain versatility.

IBEAM™ carbon laminates - Omatic ultra-light dual Kevlar backbone gives the board stability and a smooth ride while the I shaped carbon placement gives added pop and longitudinal snap. The result is a less chatter at high speeds with the power to make your ollies go BANG!

SMARTCORE™ technology: Omatic’s SMARTcore™ is now 15% lighter than last season’s SMARTcore™. They continue to vertically laminate poplar wood cores from tip to tail. Then Omatic mills air channels between the bindings to provide a more flexible and responsive feel. The air channels placed between the binding points reduces the board’s weight.

TRIRADIAL™ sidecut technology: TRIradial™ sidecuts are designed by blending three radii over the length of the edge. The radii are positioned slightly back allowing you to balance yourself while launching big airs. SINTRUDED base: The Extr-emo offers a unique "Sintruded base" that combines the easy to fix properties of the extruded base with the better wax absorption qualities of a sintered base.
