A refined verson of the previous Vital 100, the new WNDR Alpine Vital 98 Camber Skis return with a slightly narrower profile, stiffer flex and shorter turn radius, placing the emphasis on stability and edgehold and making the ski a natural for steeper, more engaging terrain. Great for ski mountaineering objectives where reliability on the descent is critical as well as newly capable on firm resort snow, the Vital 98 makes an excellent quiver of one for the backcountry-oriented skier who sometimes need to get their "family" days in.
Rocker-Camber-Rocker – More rocker in the tip than the tail with camber underfoot, for a more traditional and precise feel and better hard snow performance.
Progressive Flex – Stiffest in the middle of the ski, quite stiff in the tail for power and sticking airs, and gradually softer toward the tip
Algal Core – Vertically laminated core of bio-based Polyurethane foam and domestically sourced Aspen wood. Damper and lighter than pure wood cores, with a bio-based content of 41% by ASTM D6866-18 Method B.
45˚ Biaxial Fiberglass
90˚ Biaxial Fiberglass
SpiralMade™ Boot Plate – Made of ground up waste materials from the WNDR production process, keeping waste out landfills and strengthening the mounting area of the ski.
Super Sap® Resin – Bio-based Super Sap® technology replaces traditional petroleum based resin systems. We use Entropy Resins® to minimize the carbon footprint of our products. The certified bio-based content per ASTM D6866 of the ER-305 Resin is ~28%.
Algal Wall – Bio-based cast Polyurethane sidewalls that offer better damping than traditional, petroleum-based ABS. WNDR uses a channel in the outside of the core to further strengthen the bond between core and sidewall, and pours the sidewall into place rather than gluing and milling off excess material. Polyurethane bio-based carbon content 68% by ASTM D6866-18 Method B.
Black Sintered High Carbon UHMW Base – Treated with a penetrating biodegradable (no PFC's) all temperature application providing long lasting performance without toxic chemical impact.
2.2mm Heat Treated Hardened Steel
Skin Clip Attachment – Tail notch for secure skin fit

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
