EVA Outsole – EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) is a high-quality, very light, elastic material with extremely good cushioning. As a result, it smooths out slight irregularities in the floor and ensures that every step is softly cushioned.

Deep Heel Cup – The very deep molding in the heel area supports the foot tissue and holds the heel bone firmly in it's natural position. This provides the foot with nearly as much support when it is in a sandal as when it is in a closed shoe.

Raised Toe Bar – Encourages natural gripping motion of your feet, exercises the legs and stimulates circulation.

Jute Fiber – Two layers--one wicks away moisture, the other adds strength.

Soft Footbed – Birkenstocks' soft footbed construction places a foam layer between the cork and the suede liner. Millions of microscopic air bubbles then cushion your feet while providing moderate arch support.
