When you think of Florida, what's the first thing that comes to mind? Alligators? Retirees? Florida man? Wrong. It's the Birkenstock Florida Birkibuc Soft Footbed Sandals. These bad ladies feature extra soft foam lined soles for maximum comfort standing around by the beach, and three straps for optimum security when outrunning hungry gators. Plus those Birkibuc straps just look good.
Birkibuc™ Upper – Made of acrylic and polyamide felt fibers, this material offers a textured finish that looks and feels like velvety nubuck.
Leather Lining – The flexible leather lining, which is gentle on the skin, nestles up softly against your foot and adjusts to its contour. The open-pored and thus very breathable surface makes for a comfortable foot climate, even during more strenuous physical activity.
Contoured Cork Footbed – Conforms to the shape of your foot and features pronounced arch support, a deep heel cup and roomy toe box.
Soft Footbed – A foam layer is inserted between the cork layer and the suede liner of the original Birkenstock footbed. Millions of microscopic air bubbles cushion your feet.
EVA Sole – Flexible, lightweight, durable and shock absorbing.
Deep Heel Cup – The very deep molding in the heel area supports the foot tissue and holds the heel bone firmly in it's natural position. This provides the foot with nearly as much support when it is in a sandal as when it is in a closed shoe.
Heel Mould – Activates the calf muscles, stabilizes the back of the foot and improves gait and coordination.
Interior and Exterior Longitudinal Arch Supports – The arch supports that run alongside the side of the footbed surrounding the tarsal bones inside and out. This gives the foot the stability it needs when it takes a step.
Toe Grip – There are raised indentations at the front footbed near the toes. Thanks to the toe grip the toes remain loose and spread out in their natural position. The indentations also support the natural rolling motion of the toes.
Footbed Edge – The footbed is drawn up especially high at the front. As a result, the high footbed edge protects the toes during the rolling motion of the foot.
