A big mountain and deep snow ride for skiers who like to mix up their freeriding with stuff they've mastered in the park, the Faction Prodigy 4.0 Skis + Marker Griffon 13 Bindings offer multi-directional stability and versatility for those who love to get spontaneous on the mountain. Not too wide to lose their jibby character but with plenty of surface area to kill it on a true powder day, the Prodigy 4.0 is a tool for the progressive skier who loves straying out of bounds.
410 mm Tip Rocker / 3 mm Camber / 400 mm Progressive Tail Rocker
Stiff Flex – 8 (1 = Soft, 10 = Stiff)
Dual Radius Sidecut – Offers two different radii along a single edge. In front, a shorter radius provides quick response and control for tighter turns while a longer radius in the tail section is stable at high speeds. The result is a ski that surfs seamlessly between different turn angles and never drags.
Directional Twin – A considerably skinnier tail width than the tip provides ultimate downhill performance for attacking the mountain. A twin tip in the tail encourages playfulness and freestyle attitude, meaning you can ride switch without problem.
Surf Zones – Unites rocker and tip taper ensuring these two key features work in harmony. Rocker provides float and facilitates pivoting, while a tapered tip moves the widest part of the ski closer to the center and removes unwanted hooking. Surf Zones promise a floaty, seamless ride in all conditions.
Poplar Ash Core – Poplar is a light-colored, durable softwood that flexes and pop nicely with great vibration absorption capabilities. Ash is a heavier hardwood that compliments the Poplar by adding stiffness and durability. This duo provides a good hold on hard snow, a solid base for stomping landings and enough pop and flex to get creative.
Flax Fibers – Leading the pack of next-gen, low environmental-impact ski materials, these natural composite layers are stronger and lighter than the standard sheets of fiberglass they replace. A biaxial layup of flax fibers ensures excellent dampening and adds all the stiffness and torsional stability you could want from your eco-friendly landing gear.
Full Strength Sidewall – This construction places strips of protective material along the sides of each core, between the edge and the topsheet. Sidewalls provide the best possible edge hold and stability when the ski is engaged in a turn as well as protecting the wood core, edges and topsheet from impacts and outside damage.
Micro Cap – A hybrid of a premium sandwich sidewall construction fused with a lightweight, durable cap construction. With micro-cap, the sandwich construction provides awesome edge hold and torsional stability while the ski's topsheet wraps around and meets the sidewall, protecting the fragile joint that can be prone to chipping.
Bindings Come Mounted to Skis – Always have a certified binding technician adjust your bindings.
