The Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray of snowboards, the Rossignol Experience MagTek Snowboard is breaking new ground. With it's Magne-Traction 7M edges and THC CBF2 core, the Experience MagTek is truly on the cutting edge of the snowboard industry. A flex rating of 10 out of 10 makes this board the perfect ride for tearing down big-mountain lines. As legendary as the Sting Ray's split rear window, the Rossignol Experience MagTek's industry defining technology and look are sure to make you the next iconic snowboarder
AMPTEK All-Mountain – A combination of 60% Rocker and 40% Camber gives you more control, stability, edge pressure and smoother landings due to the rocker profile in the nose and tail and camber profile under the bindings.
Super Directional – Extremely stiff under the back foot gives you maximum control, while a medium-stiff flex at the front foot allows for smoother turns. A stiff waist gives more stability at higher speeds.
Flex Rating: 10 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) – Perfect for big mountain riding.
Directional Twin - A stiff tail for punch on kickers and solid landings with a softer waist and nose for smoothness
THC CBF2 – Triple Hybrid Core infused with CBF2: two types of wood and three Microcell beams are laminated and combined with two strips of basalt (CBF2) to deliver lighter weight with increased balance, control and edge grip.
CBF2 – A single strip of Continuous Basalt Fiber (CBF) runs along the length of each edge of the board delivering superior grip, excellent stability, magnanimous pop and smooth edge-to-edge transitions. Basalt has a strength-to-weight ratio that exceeds that of fiberglass by a factor of 1.5 and has longer elongation at break than carbon fibers.
Dual Torsion Box – The core is split into three parts: the two outer sections and the middle section. The two outer sections are wrapped in a sock of fiber glass while two strips of Basalt and Aramid are added. Then, another full layer of glass fiber wraps around the entire core. You end up with unmatched stability at high speed, inifinite durability, incredible edge grip and the smoothest edge-to-edge transitions.
Glass Fiber – Glass has greater elongation before break than carbon and comes in multiple weights and weavings, making it the #1 choice for customized flex and torsional resistance. Glass fiber also stabilizes the mechanical properties of the wood core over time.
Aramid (Kevlar®) – Systematically used in conjunction with Carbon and Basalt to deliver excellent shock absorption
Sintered 7500 – A super high density UHMW (Ultra High Molecular Weight) sintered base with a stone finishing gives the board the fastest and most durable base to date.
Magne-Traction 7M – Featuring 7 deeps bumps distributed along the edges to maximize the edge pressure between the feet, bringing the once unreachable "dead area" of the board back to life for added control and stability even in the gnarliest conditions
