Soldiers of shred, fall in line! Meet your superior officer, the Rome Mountain Division Snowboard. Sporting lively Free-the-Ride camber, a long rockered nose and a responsive Superlight Biax+Carbon construction, it's no wonder they call this board the head of the division. Packed with power and designed for versatility, the Rome Mountain Division Snowboard is THE choice for rippers that go hard bell to bell.
Free-The-Ride Camber – Rome integrates three distinct zones of camber in this shape. From the tail to just in front of the front foot, they use positive camber for the tail and mid body. In front of the front foot, we use a section of flat camber that transitions into a moderate amount of rocker in the nose. This is a highly versatile camber for freeriders who appreciate groomers, powder and variable snow. The positive camber section under foot and in the tail drives the power and edge control. The flat section keeps enough downward pressure on the contact points in the nose for proper turn initiation. And the rocker in the nose delivers the float in pow. The combination is a feel that rips carves and surfs in deeper conditions.
Response Rating – 7 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff)
Directional – These boards feature noses that are larger than their tails to help you ride faster in deep snow. The stances are set back slightly to maximize this sidecut-to-stance relationship.
AirPop Core Matrix – Five zones of ultralight woods and air channels combine with snappy poplar for maximum lightweight response.
SuperlightBiax Laminate – Rome's ultra-lightweight biax pattern helps provide an even-flexing, fun, torsional feel; perfect for boards with the otherworldly pop found in Rome's TurboRods.
TurboRods | Carbon Double Barrel – This pattern features two rods that start under both bindings and extend in straight lines towards the tip and tail. This pattern provides a blend of response - double the energy-loading power for straightline pop, and also an added dose of torsional response to put more kick into Rome's flat-rocker and powder boards.
Z-Tech 2.0 Laminate – One of the most advanced, exotic materials in the world, Zylon is lighter, stronger, and more poppy than carbon. So when Rome lays it down the centerline of their boards, it adds a big kick of response. The 2.0 is a 2-inch wide version for a powerful dose of added response.
SinterStrong Sidewalls – These sidewalls are constructed with sintered base material. With greater strength through greater elasticity, these sidewalls increase durability for those times that you unintentionally hit a rock or intentionally land on a rail.
SinterSpeed Base – Speed matters, whether you want to glide smoothly through powder or whether you want to make sure you clear the knuckle. For Rome's higher end boards, this is the base that ensures you get to the line first and you land in the sweet spot.
