Flow Solitude WX Snowboard 2009: Herman Hesse, Henry David Thoreau, George Bush after his presidency, and the shotgun-toting hillbilly that never leaves his porch—oh, solitude. Get away from it all yourself with Flow’s Solitude Snowboard, engineered with mega-buoyancy to glide through even the shreddiest backcountry powder. The Quadrax Carbon Fiber Glass increases pop with smooth stability, making this board feel fluidly connected to your feet. The Whiskey Double Malt with Titanium Alloy gives this board crazy torsional flex, allowing deep carves through the backcountry and easy grabs in the park. If you want to get away from the crowds, it’s bound to be a little bumpy on the runs less traveled; the Flow Solitude Snowboard is equipped with a TriIceCut Shape, allowing for hard grip on ice and a generous blend-zone that cuts out chatter for a smooth ride. Experience snowboarding in solitude or with a friend at it’s best with the Flow Solitude Snowboard, the versatile all-around park-to-peak snowboard.
Directional All Mountain
Reflex Core: Lightest and most responsive core features the highest strength-to-weight wood construction ratio. High-density polar is located down the center to centralize the power off the tail for a more focused response. Quadrax with Carbon Fiber Glass: Increases pop, distributes binding pressure over a greater area, giving a more natural feel than Triax. The Quadrax is extremely comfortable in the park as it is on high speed groomers. Since there are four layers, this is a lighter glass and epoxy with strength and pop.
Whiskey Double Malt, Titanium Alloy: Built using Titanal Forks designed to increase torsional flex. This new construction effectively directs rider energy to the board’s key control points. It also allows the board to twist easier between the feet, creating powerful turn initiation and phenomenal edge hold whether in super tight chutes or steep faces. Tri-Icecut: This shape uses multiple radii for aggressive turn initiation and a tight radius between the feet that allows you to finish hard off the tail. A generous blend-zone at the nose/tail & feet smooths the ride for a non-hooky feel that adds extra grip on ice.
10 to 15 mm Taper
Base Construction and Finish-- Optix NHS Sintered with 3-D Structrum: The most durable base on Flow’s line, the Optix is prefused with high-grade waxes that translate to greater top-end speed. By adding nano silica particles to the crystal clear sintered base, a Nano High Speed Base results. Combined with the 3-D Structum Finish, this board is lightening fast both in acceleration and top end speed.
