Burton No Fish Snowboard 2009 – It’s not a snowboard, it’s a Noboard™. Linking up with BC’s Noboard posse, Burton developed the Burton No Fish Snowboard, a snow surfer that combines speed, control and float with the freedom to move your feet around like you’re riding a skate or surfboard. Based off a hybrid fish shape, it features a unique flex, and top and base construction that lets you slash and tweak airs in ways you never thought possible. What?! Just know that riding the NoFish is a blast and will open your mind to the mountain’s untapped possibilities.
The directional flex in the Burton No Fish Snowboard is an easy-riding flex pattern that features increased pop in the tail and a more resilient nose that allows riders to maintain control over cruddy snow and sketchy terrain with less effort. The Triax™ Response adds versatile flex and response, capable of shredding everything from straight-line big mountain descents to mellow laps through the park.
The Powder Fly II™ Core features a more resilient, lighter-weight nose that when combined with the board’s tapered shape and set-back stance, promotes float and eliminates rear leg burn so you can relax while riding powder, with a negative core profile that features thinner sections of core between the bindings for softer flex and torsion that’s perfect for park, pipe, and rails, excelling over a variety of terrain and snow conditions. No Fish also features Torsion Control Noboard Flex with a Freedom Stance traction pad, a convex base and top, and an adjustable Raines Harness. The Swallow Tail makes it easier to sink the tail with your rear leg, allowing you to keep the nose afloat and steer through deep snow with less effort, also helping funnel displaced snow out the back for a looser, more agile feel at high-speeds. The S-Rocker profile looks like an elongated ‘S’, with 4mm of rocker towards the nose transitioning under the front binding to 3mm of camber between the binding, meaning it planes faster and transitions from edge-to-edge quicker for more maneuverability with less effort, always keeping the nose afloat. To top it off, Pro-Tip™ tapers the thickness of the tip and tail to dramatically reduce swing weight and improve the float in powder and Infinite Ride™ makes the board ride the same from the first day forward, season after season.
The Sintered WFO Vision base uses the regenerative properties of WFO’s high and low-melt temperature-reactive waxes to keep this base wide open all season in any condition imaginable.
The No Fish features round sidewalls and Grip and Rip™ Tune edges, Burton’s tried and true edge tune perfect for slicing and dicing the entire mountain to pieces.
