Burton Feelgood Flying V Rocker Snowboard - Women's 2011: For rippers searching out kickers, popping off pillows, and carving circles across the mountain, the new Burton Feelgood Flying V delivers. A winged evolution of the most proven performer, it revolutionizes all-mountain riding by combining the forgiving feel of rocker with the snappy suspension and edge-hold of camber. Easier presses, better butters, effortless float, and catch-free fun – the Burton Feelgood Flying V will have you soaring to a higher level.
Flex Rating: 4 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff)
Directional flex, the camber is an advocate of powerful turns and poppy precision, camber speaks to the core values of board design. Acting like a suspension, camber creates a lively ride capable of slicing and stomping the entire mountain. Triax fiberglass provides versatile flex and response for everything from mini to mega shred.
The Super Fly II Core has stronger and lighter woods that target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength, and reduced weight. The wood grain in Dualzone EGD is positions along the toe and heel edges, perpendicular to the rest of the wood core, for superior edge hold and added strength. The negative core profile is the team favorite. Thinner sections of core between the bindings soften flex and torsion for a more playful feel and added foot control that’s perfect for everything from park to pow. Flying V™ offers the best of both rocker and camber. Rocker overall, including between and outside your feet, enhances playfulness and float. Underneath your feet, subtle camber zones combine with Frostbite Edges, EGD, and The Channel to focus edge-control for crisp snap, added pop, and power through turns.
Sintered WFO Base: Infusing a specially formulated wax deep into the pores of this extra absorbent, high-density sintered material results in an ultra-durable base that stays Wide F!#@ing Open all season in any condition. Lightning Bolts: Radiating outward from beneath your feet, these energy transfer strands send input from brain to edge in the blink of an eye, translating thoughts into actions with effortless precision. For 2011 it is woven into the fiberglass both above and below the board’s core for dual-drive power and response. The Carbon I-Beam is an ultra-light carbon backbone that increases pop and longitudinal snap.
Grip & Rip Edge Tune combines with Frostbite Edges where the edges beneath your bindings extend out slightly for tremendous edge-hold on hard, icy conditions. Powerful when you need them, playful when you don’t, Frostbite Edges are hungry for hard-pack while remaining ever forgiving in softer conditions. The 28° profile of Slantwall creates a classic, consistent edge-hold that cuts like a knife.
