Product Info

The Burton Custom Snowboard 2008—the legend just keeps getting better. No other board in history has had more influence on the progression of modern-day freestyle than the Burton Custom. With Mads Jonsson, Heikki Sorsa, and Mason Aguirre at the controls, freestyle’s future has never been brighter. With an easy-to-throw-around, twin-like shape and graphics so fresh and so clean (clean) it’s filthy, the Burton Custom kills it from the halfpipe to the piste. As the shred crew continues to explore the outer limits of what’s considered possible on a snowboard, the design crew continues to explore the outer limits of what’s possible for the Burton Custom Snowboard.

Other Features

Negative Core Profile — Thinner sections of core between the bindings provide softer flex and torsion, perfect for park, pipe and rails. These boards excel over a variety of snow conditions and terrain.

Sintered WFO Vision Base — This pre-conditioned, wax-impregnated base accelerates past every other base out there. It features the fastest WFO base with the insane clarity of Burton’s Vision materials for hole shot speed and the poppiest graphics possible. Super Fly II Core — Targeting stronger and lighter wood in specific areas of the core provides snap, strength and reduced weight for uncompromised board feel and response.

Dualzone EGD — Burton’s exclusive Engineered Grain Technology [EGD] takes edge control one step further for increased hold and superior durability. Carbon I-Beam — More POP than Michael, less WEIGHT than Paris H. This ultra-light carbon backbone gives the board added pop and longitudinal snap.

Triax Response Fiberglass — Versatile flex and response. Increased torsional stiffness for precise edge hold and superior control, from straight-line descents to mellow laps through the park. Infinite Ride — No more break-in period. No more limp noodle. Flex and pop that stays true, no matter how hard you ride. This exclusive pop and power-enhancing technology allows them to break in the board for you, while also increasing its strength.

10:45 Sidewalls — The Sergeant Slaughter of sidewalls. The toughest, most impact-absorbent sidewall geometry in snowboarding, 10:45™ optimizes two different angles to create the bomber edge strength aggressive shredders demand. Pro-Tip — Another Burton first, tapering the thickness of the tip and tail dramatically reduces swing weight to help you get around that extra 180 also improves float in powder.
