Flex Rating (1 Soft – 10 Stiff) – 4, a medium-soft flex for a more forgiving ride that still offers a great deal of support.
Fit
Pleasure Cuff – Is designed to allow for the cuff of the boot to adjust to all range of calf sizes providing a comfortable and forgiving fit.
Liner
TriFit X Thermal Liner – A dual-density, heat-moldable core with Asymmetrical X-Cage for nailed in heel hold. The liner also features closed seam, brushed fleece puff cuff, open cell foam interior cushioning layer, Comfort Flex toe box, and low-volume sole.
Lacing System
Power Cuff BOA® Lacing System – The Power Strap controls the upper closure while the remote side-mounted Boa reel controls the instep and forefoot closure. Two easy and quick adjustments combine for the best of both worlds.
Internal Web Harness and OTW Lace Lock – Attached to the inside shell of the boot the Web Harness provides liner closure for better fit and prevents liner movement inside the shell to insure secure hell hold while the OTW Lace Lock maintains the desired tension.
Footbed
V3 Footbeds – Features V-Tech high-rebound EVA foundation with injection-molded multi-arch support. The footbed also features overmolded arch support cradle, dual-density metatarsal and heel impact relief pads, airflow perforations, and anti-odor treated topsheet.
Sole
OTW Lite Outsole with ImpactSorb® – Majority EVA construction for lightweight performance. Aggressive perimeter tacky rubber lug pattern for maximum traction in all conditions. Internal power plate for increased turning response and ImpactSorb® dampening cassette in the heel.

Typical beginner skis and snowboards are usually built with softer materials, narrower widths, and feature cap construction for an easy to turn, forgiving ride. Beginner-intermediate boots and bindings are also built for ease of use and progression, featuring softer flexes and in the case of ski bindings, quick and safe release from the ski in case of a fall.

Medium The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
