EVA Baseplate Padding – Lightweight and long-lasting, EVA cushioning helps minimize the force of impacts so you can charge harder for longer.
Single-Component Baseplate Construction – One material throughout creates consistent response and feel for all-terrain domination.
30% Short-Glass/Nylon Composite – Slightly more responsive than the Park Blend yet still plenty playful.
Disc Baseplate Construction – Burton's disc bindings offer consistent flex and feel throughout and are compatible with all mounting systems. Engineered composites allow for bomber strength and the ability to fine-tune performance in ways not possible with metal.
Compatibility – Compatible with 3D®, 4x4, The Channel™, and Voile's splitboard interface.

Single-Component Nylon Hi-Back Construction – The simplicity of a one-piece hi-back means immediate response. Through material blends, Burton then manipulates the overall flex profile—from buttery to responsive.
Living Hinge™ Hi-Back – This exclusive technology eliminates hardware and weight, and allows you to adjust your Forward Lean and hi-back rotation independently.
Canted Hi-Back Design – This ergonomic design follows the natural contours of your left and right legs to maximize control and comfort.
DialFLAD™ – The higher the Forward Lean angle on your hi-backs, the quicker your heel-edge turns. Crank 'em forward for icy hits in the pipe like Danny does, or back 'em off for jibbing. For mind-blowing, micro-adjustability, Burton's MicroFLAD™ systems give you twice the options of their traditional FLAD.
True OTT Hi-Back Padding – Wrapping the upper portion of the hi-back with padding eliminates pesky pressure points.

In skis and snowboards, you'll often find layers of metal, carbon or other stringers for rigidity and power, while advanced to expert level boots and bindings are usually on the stiffer side of the spectrum for rebound and precision steering.

Flex Rating
Stiff The amount a snowboard flexes varies significantly between boards. Snowboard flex ratings are not necessarily standardized across manufacturers, so the flex may vary from brand to brand. Many manufacturers will give a number rating ranging from 1-10, 1 being softest and 10 being stiffest. Here at evo we have standardized the manufacturers' number ratings to a feel rating ranging from soft to very stiff. Generally you will find flex ratings of 1-2 as soft, 3-5 as medium, 6-8 as stiff, and 9-10 as very stiff. Flex ratings and feel may ultimately vary from snowboard to snowboard.
