The Völkl One Skis for women are the widest, surfiest women's powder tool on the market. New for the 2015 season, the One Women's combines a fat 116 mm waist with a smooth full rocker profile and early taper in the tips and tails of the ski to deliver a ski that everyone from powder rookies to experts will have a ball on.
ELP Full Rocker – Völkl matches the sidecut and flex of the ski perfectly to give it a smooth, gradual bend from tip to tail. This results in easy maneuverability in tight spaces and soft snow, but enables the skier to gain full edge contact when the ski is put on edge. Full Rocker skis have a slightly stiffer tip and softer mid-body to give you bomber stability, uncanny smoothness and easy turn initiation in one package.
Early Tapered Sidecut – Taper in the tip and tail allows the ski to steer in and out of the turn more easily in powder and gives you the freedom to choose any turn shape you wish.
Multi-Layer Wood Core – Völkl freeskiing models feature a multi-layer wood core that features two different densities of wood. In the binding attachment area, a dense, ash core is used, while in the rest of the ski, the core is poplar. The more dense wood creates more secure screw retention, preventing binding pull-out, and the soft, supple poplar section allows for resilience and snap. The flex pattern is tailored to each ski model, depending on the desired performance.
Tough Box Construction – Völkl protects the goods (in this case the Multi-Layer wood core) with a composite and fiberglass sheath for resiliance, durability and snap.
Power Construction – Construction utilizes traditional vertical sidewalls and a torsion box internal layup. Used in racing skis as well as all the freeskiing models, this versatile, proven construction provides tremendous grip, stability, and a smooth ride.
Vertical Sidewalls
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
