There's 98 reasons to love the Völkl 90Eight W Skis, but we'll summarize. From moguls to powder, glades to groomers, these lightweight, carbon infused planks love speed, with plenty of dampness and a slightly tapered shape for easy control in mixed and soft conditions, too. 3D.Ridge technology keeps the weight down, and a full sidewall ensures you have the grip and control you need on steep, icy piste. Hop aboard the all-terrain Völkl 90Eight W Skis and discover your own reasons to love them.
Tip & Tail Rocker – Bends up only in the shovel and tail zones, with a camber shape in the middle.
3D.Ridge Technology – The distinctive characteristic of this technology is a raised central ridge that sharply levels out towards the edges, both in front of and behind the binding. This reduces the inertial mass around the fulcrum to a minimum and significantly enhances the agility of the ski. At the same time, the center ridge allows for a precise dimensioning of the hardness distribution, which leads to an especially harmonious flex on the ski. Despite the weight savings, 3D.Ridge ensures that there are no compromises in the ski‘s durability and elasticity.
Moderate Taper – Moderate setup of tapered tips for an all mountain oriented combination of precision on piste and easy handling off piste.
Multi Layer Woodcore – The combination of beech and poplar results in an extremely durable wood core composed of hard wood in the binding area and lighter wood surrounding it.
3D.Glass – Compared to classic glass constructions, the three-dimensional and multiple-folded glass layers in the binding area result in an increased edge grip and a more vivid rebound behavior in turns.
Carbon Stringers – Additional band of carbon in the layup for direct transmission, agility and life.
Full Sidewall – Direct and strong power transmission with full length sidewalls.
P-Tex 2100 Base – A sintered high-density and high molecular polyethylene base with great gliding characteristics and high durability.
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
