Salomon Shogun 100 Skis 2013: Your favorite everyday freeride ski is sure to be the Salmon Shogun 100 Skis. Step in and you’ll feel the difference; the Shogun 100 Skis feature 350 mm of rocker in the tip for some flotation when it’s powdery, and normal camber underfoot and in the tail so it hooks up on the groomers, skis the crud, and is quick enough for the bumps or park. A bamboo layer livens it up while basalt fibers and a full wood core dampen it down and keep it stable.
All Terrain Rocker has rocker in the tip and camber underfoot and to the tail. An 80% pressure zone when flat that smoothly transitions to an 95% pressure zone when on edge gives you fluid terrain absorption, easy and progressive turning on groomers, and total precision.
Full Woodcore from tip to tail offers optimum stability on snow and powerful rebound, which maximizes ski/snow contact and filters vibrations.
Bamboo Layer is light and strong
Basalt
Edgy Monocoque offers precise edge grip, no excess material, and efficient energy from the skier to the snow for freeskiing
Wide Edges are thicker for increased durability and improved shock resistance.
Edge Armor incorporates an extremely durable polyethylene fiber cord cross-laced between the edges of the skis to increase the edge strength.
Total Edge Reinforcement has a fiber directly on the edges providing edge stiffness for improved durability and grip.
Pulse Pad is a layer of rubber along the edges and in certain zones of the ski for a smoother ride and improved ski/snow contact.
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.
