Rossignol S86 W Skis + Saphir 110 Bindings - Women's 2011: AmpTek Technology is back for another season in the Rossignol S86W Freeride Skis. AmpTek combines traditional camber underfoot and reverse camber at the tip to make this one of the most versatile skis available. Narrow enough at the waist for icy/packed snow riding, but wide enough to head off into deeper, lighter snow. With the S86W skis you get everything the men get, but with Feminine Intuitive Technology for reduced weight and a further forward mounting point.
The Rossignol S86W Skis feature Rossignol’s unique AmpTek ski design concept that combines traditional and reverse camber to deliver more versatility, rebound, boost and ease-of-use than conventional skis. The traditional camber underfoot and throughout the tail delivers power, energy and edge grip where you need it most. The reverse camber at the tip delivers more floatation, easier steering and more forgiveness.
F.I.T. (Feminine Intuitive Technology) is designed specifically for women. Two distinctly different fibers in the core reduce weight without losing performance and the mounting position is 1cm forward to improve turn initiation.
Vertical sidewalls apply direct pressure to the edges of the ski for powerful and precise edging.
Titanium Laminate sandwich
Freeride tip offers superior contact with snow for maximum hookup and versatility off-piste.
14.3m @ 170cm, 130/86/116 (all sizes)
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15mm wider.
Wood core sandwiched between 2 sheets of Titanium provides ultimate response, feel, power and durability. Core is made from ash and fume treated poplar and is hand milled to the shape of the ski’s profile. Wood used in Rossignol skis is harvested from sustainable wood, grown in renewable tree farms.
