Believe it or not, but Santa Anna was a famous war chief of the Comanche Tribe known for his affable demeanor, yet ruthless tactics against migrating Anglos during the migratory periods of the early 19th century. It might seem like a bit out of left field in the realm of modern day skiing, but the Nordica Santa Ana, at a manageable 100 mm underfoot, is the all-mountain ride you've been looking for to pilfer your favorite zones, attack the steeps, and push out the gates for blasts through the trees. The nimble 15.5 m turning radius allows for quick adjustments and fast turning, while the carbon reinforcements keep the skiing experience smooth and damp -- no matter how choppy things get out there. Swoop up a pair of Santa Ana Skis from Nordica, and defend your territory.
All Mountain camRock - Santa Ana – All Mountain camRock! Technology pulls the traditional contact point of the tip back about 25% and the tail 5%, creating slight tip and tail rocker to aid the camber under foot. The result - increased floatation, velocity and maneuverability in soft snow as well as significantly increased ease of turn initiation in any condition.
Hammerhead Nose – Low, broad tip shape that maximizes on edge snow contact while reducing unstable tip vibration.
Balsa Core CA – The Balsa core is a microlam construction designed exclusively for women made up of many thin balsa wood stringers stacked side-by-side, which provide a strong and damp feel at an extremely light weight.
Carbon Prepreg Laminates – Two sheets of carbon over the edges for stability and edge grip.
Binding Reinforcement
Poliamide Top Foil
ABS Sidewalls – Helps dampen hard landings while decreasing vibration fatigue.
Traditional Sandwich Construction
UHMW Base – Ultra High Molecular Weight Sintered Graphite Electra Gallium Base
Steel Edges
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
