Moment Team Skis 2013: New stronger edges and thicker bases increase the durability of the 2013 Moment Team Skis. Ski what the pro team at Moment is skiing; the Moment Team Skis is a stiffer version of the Jib, with more sidewall bite and a faster race base for maximum speed. If you couldn’t get enough speed and pop before, you won’t be having any problems sending it now.
Traditional Camber: for park, pipe, and frontside carving, traditional camber remains the classic choice. Its spring-loading effect maintains edge pressure when the ski is flexed into an arc, then releases that energy to launch you into the next turn.
Symmetrical shape
Flex rating of 8 out of 10 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff)
Moment uses Aspen/Ash wood core on skis that need to be able to withstand a beating. Ash provides amazing binding retention, strength and dampening; Aspen adds durability and reduces weight to the core.
Fiberglass Matrix fine-tunes the flex profile of the ski.
Carbon Fiber stringers provide more pop and snap and are extremely strong and lightweight.
19.3m @ 171cm, 20.7m @ 176cm, 22m @ 181cm, 111/86/111 (all sizes)
Vertical UHMW (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) Sidewalls are extremely light, durable, and resistant to separation.
Extra Thick 1.8mm Durasurf 4001 Sintered Bases are made in the USA and have all the same great properties as Moment’s standard bases, plus added protection against rails and jibs. Moment uses sublimated graphics to eliminate the cracking and peeling common on die-cut bases.
VDS Dampening System is placed over the edges and in several other key locations to mellow any harsh vibrations.
Extra Thick 2.5mm Rockwell Steel Edge for more strength and durability
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.
