Moment Sierra Skis - Women's 2013: The Moment Sierra Skis are mid-fat, medium radius, all-mountain model citizens. Wide enough to float in powder, their Front Rocker profile improves planning and reduces deflection in variable snow. On hardpack, camber from the binding to the tail provides grip and energy, allowing the Sierra to perform as well in its namesake range as it does from the Alps to the Appalachians.
Front Rocker: for the directional charger, nothing beats Front Rocker. Traditional camber from the binding to the tail provides edging power and high-speed stability, while the rockered tip aids turn initiation, blasts through crud, and planes quickly in powder.
Flex rating of 7.5 out of 10 (1 Soft – 10 Stiff)
Moment uses an Aspen/Pine wood core that when used together provide a strong and lively flex; Aspen keeps the ski light and poppy while pine adds strength and rigidity.
Fiberglass Matrix fine-tunes the flex profile of the ski.
Carbon Fiber stringers provide more pop and snap and are extremely strong and lightweight.
14.5m @ 150cm 117/92/108, 17m @ 160cm 117/92/108, 20.5m @ 170cm 121/96/112
UHMW (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) Sidewalls are extremely light, durable, and resistant to separation.
1.2mm Durasurf 4001 Sintered base can take a beating while staying fast. They are US-made, harder and have better wax absorption than extruded bases. Moment uses sublimated graphics to eliminate the cracking and peeling common on die-cut bases.
VDS Dampening System is placed over the edges and in several other key locations to mellow any harsh vibrations.
2.2mm Rockwell 48 Steel Edge for more strength and durability.
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.
