Enter a new realm of extremes and possibility when you click into the Kastle BMX108 Skis. Big hucks, big turns and big days are sure to follow your purchase of these sticks! Delivering unparalleled stability in powder as a result of Kastle's Hollowtech and Early Rise Rocker technology, this ski was designed for the most diverse and difficult terrain. Featuring a Dual Radius Big Mountain side cut, the BMX108 was made to go fast and rail huge turns on huge lines. Take your freeride fantasies to the next level by giving yourself the premium tool of your dreams with the Kastle BMX108 Skis.
Early Rise with Low Camber – The Low Camber concept minimizes deep powder aggressiveness and provides a harmonious flex line in combination with Early Rise Rocker. The ski has been reduced to a minimum of 5 mm, enabling greater maneuverability. Early Rise Rocker technology improves the uplift and enables a smoother handling under diverse snow conditions. The slight rise of the shovel in front of the traditional contact point enables better flotation. For the BMX108 the Early Rise Rocker design starts at 360 mm. This indicates the length of the Early Rise Rocker zone, measured from the tip of the ski in the direction of the waist.
Dual Radius Big Mountain – The wider radius in the shovel of the Dual Radius Big Mountain delivers exceptional stability, while still being forgiving. The front radius exits the running track before the contact point, merging the shovel geometry in a straight line.
Hook Free Shovel – A tapered shovel shape to prevent tips from catching when charging turns through chundery crud.
Powder Tail
Poplar and Beech Wood Core – The core of this ski has been constructed from poplar (0.4 kg/dm³) and beech (0.8 kg/dm³) creating a lightweight, yet durable, ski. The core has been bonded with an adhesive block binder, in comparison with sheet binding, allowing further weight reduction through the reduction of binding components.
Top Foil
Fiberglass 0/90°
Edge Rubber
ABS Sidewalls – Extremely resistant sidewalls.
TT-Sinter-Base
Hollowtech Technology in Tip and Tail – With the help of the Hollowtech technology the ski‘s running characteristics is improved. The cutout section in the shovel leads to a reduced weight of the freely vibrating zone by almost 15%. The resulting lower inertia moments optimize the retraction behavior of the ski. This means that after an impact the shovel returns much faster to the stable condition, enabling the ski to keep its track much more precisely.
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
