The K2 T9 Tough Luv Skis and Marker M1 11.0 TC Ski Bindings — Soft. Wide. Tougher than Mom’s overdone Thanksgiving turkey. Meet the K2 Tough Luv, the newest and sexiest member of the T9 family of women-specific skis. Ready for hardcore off-piste domination, this 88mm-waisted fat (er, “big-boned”) ski will give you the all-powder performance your dreams are made of. Similar to its cousin, the K2 Apache Outlaw, the Tough Luv is built with Metal Laminate construction, which features two delicious sheets of titatnium running tip-to-tail, and also utilizes the dream team spruce/fir Bioflex Core for versatility. And although it flaunts a shimmery-glittery topsheet with sparkly gold graphics, the K2 T9 Tough Luv ain’t just another pretty face on the hill—this baby’s designed for in-your-face expert performance. With a soft flex, techy MOD Monic dampening, and the dominating M1 Marker 11.0 TC binding system, the 2008 K2 T9 Tough Luv is your high-performance all-mountain dream-come-true.
MOD TECHNOLOGY: The ultimate in modern ski design. MOD combines an elastomeric secondary core that works as a high-performance suspension system and mass damper to provide the highest degree of ease, power, forgiveness and performance.
METAL LAMINATE: Two sheets of titanium alloy run the length of the ski, while alternating layers of fiberglass and titanium surround a wood core. Delivers damp, accurate and unshakeable performance ideal for expert-level skis.
BIOFLEX CORE: A breakthrough multi-wood core women-ski-specific technology. The combination of two distinctly different woods, fir and spruce, provides stability and forgiveness.
FLEX PATTERN: Tuned to provide ease and forgiveness at the tip and tail, with solid security underfoot.
FORWARD MOUNTING: All T9 skis are built with the midsole of the ski 2cm forward than the standard point of a men’s ski—catering to the fact that a woman's center of mass is generally much lower than a man's—to allow for more control and easier turn initiation.
