Product Info

K2 Bad Apple Skis – Youth 2011: Junior shredders looking for a true powder ski finally have something to charge the deep days with thanks to the K2 Bad Apple Skis. The K2 Bad Apple Skis feature K2’s Powder Rocker technology combined with a 100mm waist to make skiing powder and chopped-up snow fun and effortless from first chair to the last ride.

Product Details

Shape

Powder Rocker: 50% Camber, 50% Rocker

Designed for deep snow, the Powder Rocker shape has a tip with the most elevation and longest measurement of rocker and offers young skiers a “surfy” feel with enhanced soft snow performance. The camber region still exists to ensure edge-hold on firmer conditions all over the mountain. Powder Rocker makes its GROMS debut in the K2 Bad Apple Skis.

Construction

The new Twin Tip Specific construction of TwinTech increases the durability of sidewall skis. A traditional sidewall construction produces a 90 degree angle where the top material and sidewall meet. The Twin Tech construction actually rolls the top material into the sidewall reducing the angle that is prone to abuse. K2 uses ABS sidewalls because of the dense characteristics and impact toughness that not only aid in the direct transmission of power but also make it very durable and resistant to moisture.

Flex

Use: Powder: 80%, Park: 20%

Triaxial braiding in the core consists of braiding fiberglass around a wood core to provide torsional rigidity for added control. The patented machine interlocks strands of fiberglass around a milled wood core. This unique method produces skis with great torsional strength, while maintaining the lively flex patterns of the wood core.

Binding Compatibility

Requires a wide brake binding with a brake width between 100mm and 110mm.
