The all-new K2 Annex 98 Skis 2014 are designed for hard-charging crossover skiers looking to split their time between inbounds laps and backcountry adventure. The All-Terrain Rocker is designed for all ability levels and adds versatility and ease of turn initiation in all snow conditions. Conventional camber underfoot helps the Annex 98 retain sharpness and precision on harder snow as well. Skin grommets and a notch for tail straps lets you use K2 climbing skins at a moment's notice.
All-Terrain Rocker – Designed for all ability levels, All-Terrain Rocker adds versatility and ease in all snow conditions. This profile features an elevated tip for variable and soft snow performance, as well as camber underfoot for power, energy, and edgehold in firmer conditions.
Powder Tip – Designed to be more predictable in soft snow conditions, these tips are designed to strike the perfect balance of maximizing float while reducing tip deflection. These tips are designed with a gentle arc and transition into the sidecut of the ski.
Directional Taper – A moderately wider tip than tail maximizes the ski’s performance in the forward direction. This means the ski makes a slightly different arc when skiing switch
Tapered Tip and Tail – Directional Freeride skis are designed with not just a tapered tip, but also a slight amount of taper in the tail. A tapered tip shifts the widest part of the contact further back to reduce tip weight and deflection in soft and variable snow conditions. The tapered tail allows more control as you exit the turn to either accelerate out or scrub speed as the conditions dictate.

Metal Laminate – Built from the base up, a metal laminate construction consists of alternating layers of fiberglass and titanal above and below the core. Metal laminates provide unshakable, damp and accurate performance, ideal for expert and advanced level skiers.
Hybritech Sidewall – Hybritech is a unique blend of sidewall and cap constructions. This combines the accuracy, power, and performance of sidewall underfoot with the lightweight characteristics and smooth turn initiation of cap construction.
K2 Tip Grommets/Skin Clip – The new freeride tip grommet is a low profile, clean and simple design that no longer requires a plug. The durable rubber coating disguises a slit designed to accommodate the Z clip for skin attachments, or to build a rescue sled.
