Those sick inlays on the tip and tail aren't just for show; they are part of Head's innovative Tip and Tail Stabilizer System (TTS). The TTS reduces the swing weight of the skis while also adding torsional strength to reduce the dreaded tip and tail chatter that occurs while charging on variable snow conditions. Paired with an ISS-Independent Suspension System in the tip, tail, and underfoot, and AllRide tip rocker, TTS makes the Collective series incredibly responsive and stable on all snow conditions. With super durable TuffWall sidewalls and a Sandwich Cap construction, the Head Collective 105 Skis offer bomber performance anywhere you decide to take them.
AllRide Rocker – Rocker that is equally at home on bulletproof snow as it is in powder. This profile uses early rise in the tip with regular camber throughout the rest of the ski. 20% rocker / 80% camber.
Sandwich Cap Construction – Head takes the basic framework from its World Cup sandwich and adds a cap that just wraps over the top edge of the sidewall to make the ski more suitable for all mountain skiing. Bomber construction with a rounded top edge makes for one incredible all-mountain ski.
ISS (Independent Suspension System) – Elastomeric vibration killers located in the tip, tail and underfoot. The elastomers quiet the vibrations that are commonly associated with rockered skis. Underfoot, the vibrations are dampened to provide the skier with a smooth ride.
TTS (Tip and Tail Stabilizer System) – TTS is a stabilizing exoskeleton which dampens the vibrations normally felt from rockered tips and tails, and also reduces overall swing weight and creates a ski with a playful yet high level of performance. The system is comprised of elastomeric inlay for vibration control as well as a glass fibre exoskeleton for stability and torsional strength. This combination not only reduces vibrations but creates better pressure distributon upon entry and exit of a turn by minimizing lateral flex of the ski.
TuffWalls – Impact resistant ABS sidewalls. Tuffwalls are designed to take a beating while enabling solid edgehold.
Diecut UHM C Structured Base – The same high quality material used in Head's world-leading race skis is used here. A structured running base for all conditions, this durable workhorse base material has die cut graphics for added flair.
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
