G3 ZenOxide Skis 2012: The G3 ZenOxide Skis are G3’s fattest lightweight ski and a backcountry favorite. They feature the razor low mass tip, early rise tip, and a lightweight paulownia/poplar core. Uphill endeavors are now even less work without adding compromise when it comes to the down. From ridgelines to lift-lines, the ZenOxide allows you to take a deep breath and experience the mantra of effortless travel and confident descents.
Early Rise 1 camberline shape is G3’s basic early tip rise combined with just the right amount of camber underfoot. This is an easy initiation to the modern freeride feel of effortless floatation with a shorter running surface in firm snow and longer running surface in soft snow resulting in a more agile yet stable ski.
Classic sidecut for a close to even fore and aft creates predictable and balanced arcs for those who prefer traditional ski behavior.
Cap sidewall construction
Razor low mass tip geometry makes for a streamlined high tip with reduced mass. This makes for a ski that rises to the surface and slices through deep snow while both breaking tail and skiing
CoreLight made from ultra light Paulownia and light Poplar wood for very lightweight yet durable skis
A 4 multi-axial fiberglass classic is G3’s original construction with 2 layers of multi-axial glass both above and below the wood core. This means reinforcement for loading from all directions for a more stable, solid ride. It is the dampest non-metallic construction available.
We recommend a brake width that is equal to the ski waist width and at most 15 mm wider.
