When you know it's not really a pow day, but you're not sure exactly what conditions to expect, the Faction Dictator 2.0X Skis are a good bet to cover the whole spectrum of possibilities. From steep icy chutes to cut up leftovers to frozen avy debris the size of bowling balls, this ski gives as good as it gets with power and confidence. With a revised and slightly wider sidecut and slightly less rocker this year, the Dictator 2.0X retains the bomber twin sheets of Titanal and full sidewall sandwich construction that's made it a favorite of big mountain rippers. The Dictator 2.0X keeps the construction of the Dictator 2.0 but features a custom topsheet.
350 mm Tip Rocker / 3 mm Camber / 210 mm Flat Tail Rocker
Stiff Flex – 8 (1 = Soft, 10 = Stiff)
Elliptical Sidecut – Made up of a longer radius underfoot and shorter radii in the tip and tail of the ski. The long radius underfoot means you can pivot faster and easier, while a shorter radius in the tip and tail results in seamless turn initiation. This sidecut allows for a wide variety of turn lengths and angles.
Freeride Flat Tail – Traditional flat tail design is built for speed, ultimate edge grip and control throughout charging turns. Brought into the modern day with a slight tail rocker, this shape is easier than ever to slash your turn into a slarve and won't hook up in fresh conditions.
Surf Zones – Unites rocker and tip taper ensuring these two key features work in harmony. Rocker provides float and facilitates pivoting, while a tapered tip moves the widest part of the ski closer to the center and removes unwanted hooking. Surf Zones promise a floaty, seamless ride in all conditions.
Lightweight Paulownia/Poplar Core – Paulownia is a lightweight hardwood, combined with the softwood Poplar to add some flex and extra pop to the proceedings. The mix of these two woods results in a lightweight core with excellent responsiveness and rebound, complimenting and offsetting the two full layers of Titanal metal that are sandwiched to either side of it.
Dual Span Titanal – Titanal's isotropic qualities, equally strong in all directions, mean that the ski loves being on edge, blasts through bumps and feels stable even in changeable snow, making it the perfect chassis for a holy grail, hard-charging freeride ski.
Full Strength Sidewall – This construction places strips of protective material along the sides of each core, between the edge and the topsheet. Sidewalls provide the best possible edge hold and stability when the ski is engaged in a turn as well as protecting the wood core, edges and topsheet from impacts and outside damage.
Tip and Tail Cap – Full strength sidewall underfoot, with the topsheet wrapping around the ski so that it meets the edge in the tip and tail. This provides strong protection from impact, boosting the ski's durability, as well as reducing the overall weight of the ski for freestyle or touring needs.
XL 2.5 mm Edges – 7 fractions of a milimeter might no sound like much, but when it comes to edges, it adds up. The 2.5mm edges stack an extra 35% of height on top of the already super-durable 1.8mm edges. This extra steel gives the rider a pair of skis that can take more abuse and last longer.

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
