It's Candide Thovex's ski and it's been brought to the masses. The Faction CT 2.0 Skis are ideal for an all-mountain ripper who wants a flexy feel in the park to butter and press with. The 2.0 is perfect for someone needing a versatile ski that really finds it's stride in park. Shaped symmetrically, so you can ride it regular or switch with equal ease. Carbon reinforcement in their core dampens the entirety of the ski, allowing super solid landings no matter how sketchy you get in the air. The Faction Candide 2.0 Skis are a one ski quiver for the freestyle-oriented all mountain skier.
Rocker / Camber / Rocker – 325mm rocker in the tip, 2mm camber underfoot, and 310mm rocker in the tail.
Medium-Stiff Flex – 6/10 - Stable at speed or on big landings, but still playful enough to butter and press.
Symmetrical Shape – Designed to handle identically forward and switch.
Poplar/Beech Wood Core – Great hold on hard snow with a light and snappy feel.
Carbon Reinforcement Underfoot
Sandwich Construction – Used on most of Faction's skis. A traditional manufacturing method that provides strength, durability, good grip, and edge hold. Rubber is used to dampen vibration and bond the base layers to the core.
Micro-Cap Protection – Continuing efforts to improve chip-resistance in their skis, Faction incorporated a 'micro' cap where the topsheet meets the sidewall on sandwich constructed skis.
Die-Cut PTEX 3000 Base – Used on most Faction Skis. Sintered PTEX 3000 base material is more porous and holds wax well.
Matte Textured Topsheet – Matte ICP8210 topsheets require no lacquering saving around 100gm/pair, and reduces the use of not-quite-environmentally friendly lacquer. It also shows through the natural structure of the underlying laminate layers.
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
