Even under extreme flex, Power Extenders act like shock absorbers, devouring chatter without compromising ski-snow contact. The rougher the terrain, the better the hold. On some skis, power return can be so brutal it becomes uncontrollable. B5’s suspension system stores massive amounts of energy as the skis compress into turns, tames it and returns the force through the Power Channels for smooth, supercharged exits.

B5 Profile- To build a better ski, you need an advanced power transfer system. Beta 5 takes Atomic’s renowned lobed shape, peels back the skin and slices and Power Channels in half. Atomic embeds the exposed ends of the channels into elastomer Power Extenders within the Chassis. The Channels are left exposed so they can float like the suspension fork on a mountain bike as the ski hugs the terrain. Put your fingers on the external Channels and flex a B5 ski- you’ll feel exactly the difference.

Power Channels Magnesium- Magnesium has a lower specific weight than titanium, and provides even pressure distribution and explosive acceleration. Magnesium Power Channels absorb forces from all directions. Their built-in tension delivers effortless turn initiation, predictability through the turn and aggressive exit acceleration.

Dura Edge- Up to 5 times tougher than standard edges, saves time and cost intensive post processing, completely full-hardened (no decline of advantage after abrading or filing)
