4FRNT EHP (Eric Hjorleifson) Skis 2008 - The restlessness of Eric's ski innovation has rallied an additional length for the upcoming season, each shaped with noticeable differences that aid in their unique performance. The 190 is more traditionally shaped, with moderate sidecut and slight camber, to utilize everyday resort conditions. The new 186 and 193 are intended for backcountry and deep powder skiing. EHP designer, Eric Hjorleifson, had the following to say about the EHP: "I wanted a solid platform for stability at speed in variable snow, efficient flotation for stomping powder landings, and shapes that provoke confidence in all ski conditions." Eric Hjorleifson designed the graphics of these skis, including snapping the picture that is at the tail of each ski while out on a backcountry adventure. The 186 and 193's tips are similarly shaped with a long gradual radius that is specially designed to provide maximum flotation which, although reducing the ski's effective edge, allows for quicker maneuverability in tight spots. The tails both share a common rocker design allowing for increased floatation. The 186 tail tapers significantly to perform as a pintail allowing the tail to sink slightly deeper into the snow than the other two lengths. The 190 has a shape designed to conquer the entire resort. It has a slight twinned up tail with a bit of camber so it grips hard in all conditions.
