Blizzard Bonafide 97 Skis 2024

A classic that's the right choice on almost any day you choose to ride, the Blizzard Bonafide 97 Skis continue to reign as the "real deal" all-mountain choice for many of the best skiers on the planet. The zinger is that the current version is the most "user-friendly" yet, and although the B97 feels totally solid at 50 mph on ice, it still turns willingly at modest speeds and handles crud and chop as well as anything on the market.

Product Details

Rocker Type

Rocker Camber RockerSki profile with rocker at the tip and tail, camber in the middle. Reducing the pressure on the edge at the tip and tail makes the ski even easier to handle and increases flotation on powder snow. The camber guarantees great grip on packed snow.

Core

TrueBlend WoodcoreCombining Beech and Poplar woods in a uniquely balanced blend that's tailored to the performance needs of each Blizzard all-mountain ski, the TrueBlend cores are labor-intensive but worth the extra effort.

Carbon Flipcore TechnologyA revolutionary rockered ski production process that incorporates a uni-directional carbon frame onto the core of the ski that results in great performance with a light and easy feel.

Laminates

Two Layers of Titanal®

Titanium Binding Reinforcement Layer

Bi-directional Carbon Fiber

Anti-Shock Layer

Sidewalls

Sandwich Compound SidewallAll Blizzard skis with the exception of some junior skis are built with ABS or Phenol sidewalls for superior performance (stability, power transmission, handling) and durability.

Base

Sintered Graphite Base

Binding Compatibility

We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.

Toe Piece

Triple Pivot Elite 3 ToeToe construction with impressive retention when freeriding. The spring in the toe is inserted horizontally and with a sole plate inclined by 5° it provides the highest energy absorption so as to reduce the risk of early release. The large supporting surface optimizes the power transmission and allows for great stresses and strains.

AFD Gliding PlateAll Marker bindings (except the Jester Pro) are equipped with a moveable AFD (Anti Friction Device), allowing a precise release unhindered by dirt, snow, and ice buildup. The type of AFD is matched to the skier type, ensuring perfect functionality from racing to junior and even alpine touring.
