If you're into the all-around berm-slashing steep-rock-rolling don't-care-where-just-let-me-ride fun style of bike, the Transition Patrol Alloy GX Complete Mountain Bike is exactly what you're looking for. 27.5" wheels keep it quick, 160/170mm of travel can handle the blind drops you're into, and the aluminum frame and GX build will stand up to the punishment you're dishing out. Code RSC brakes and a Bike Yoke dropper?--yes please, now!
Aluminum Frame
GiddyUp 2.0HH Suspension – Building upon the success of Transition's original GiddyUp suspension design, the new GiddyUp 2.0HH system has been refined for the modern two-wheel cowboy delivering a slightly firmer feel for more efficient pedaling, as well as more progressive travel that provides that extra little bit of bottom-out support when needed.
Speed Balanced Geometry – SBG ensures the bike maintains low speed agility, front wheel traction, and proper rider weight balance while actually increasing confidence in steep terrain and at high speeds. With SBG, a slacker head tube angle is combined with an all new reduced offset fork standard, preventing the front wheel from being too far in front of the rider. This improves front to rear weight distribution on the bike, which is often out of balance on long and slack bikes. One of SBG's greatest benefits is that it creates a confident steering feel that adapts to wheel speed. More stability when going fast, more agility on technical slow speed maneuvering as well as improved traction, control and confidence for any skill level of rider.
Fox DHX2 Factory Shock – Fueled by years of RAD development, X2 hits the sweet spot with its linear damping profile, revised oil flow, and redesigned seals. The wide adjustment range gives riders the support and grip that the trail demands, as well as a more plush and open feel in the initial travel.
Shock Adjustments – 2-Position Open, Firm Lever Retains All Settings / High- and Low-speed Compression Adjust / High- and Low-speed Rebound Adjust
Molded Rubber Frame Protection
12 x 148mm Boost Rear End
Rattle-Free Cable Routing
Full Water Bottle Storage
Trunion Shock Mount
Fox 36 Grip Performance – Performance forks retain the same black anodized 7000 series aluminum upper tubes as Performance Elite, but have a different damper (FIT GRIP) with fewer adjustments.
Fork Adjustments – GRIP 3-Position Lever Adjust (Open, Medium, Firm) / External Rebound Adjust / Air Spring Pressure
SRAM GX Eagle™ – SRAM Eagle drivetrains are the only 1x drivetrains that are fully system engineered for optimal performance. Eagle drivetrains are designed, tested and proven to deliver the lightest, highest-performing, most durable systems for all riders on any trail. Eagle technology provides an expanded, optimum, gear range that allows you to realize your bike's potential beyond where it has ever been. Every SRAM GX Eagle component is 100-percent compatible with all levels of SRAM Eagle drivetrain systems. This is Eagle.
SRAM Code RSC Brakeset – Code RSC is built from the elements that made Guide a benchmark in contemporary brake design and performance, and delivers an extra 15% power to shine in all heavy duty applications. SwingLink™ and Lever Pivot Bearings ensure a smooth and progressive feel at the lever, while the additional 30% positive fluid volume ensures consistent performance even when braking harder, more frequently or with a heavier mass to slow down.
SRAM Centerline Rotors – The Centerline rotor was designed to keep the center of friction consistent throughout rotation, thereby minimizing vibration, offering consistent performance and a quiet ride.
Maxxis Minion DHF Front Tire – The Minion DHF was designed for the often loose and muddy conditions of aggressive all-mountain terrain. The DHF incorporates ramped knobs for low rolling resistance and channel-cut knobs to increase gripping edges, giving straight-line control and precise cornering.
Stan's NoTubes Flow S1 Comp Wheelset – Burly enough to handle the toughest of trails yet light enough to pedal all day, the Flow S1 is up for any challenge. Developed from rims ridden in Red Bull Rampage and raced on the World Cup DH circuit for years, the S1 is now ready for action. With a 1.6mm deeper profile and reinforced rim walls the new Flow S1 offers greater impact strength, for an even wider range of use, with only a minor weight gain. Strong and light 6061 alloy rims, stainless steel rim eyelets, and easily replaceable standard spokes mean the Flow S1 is built to last. Combined with faster-engaging, CNC-machined Neo hubs, the Flow S1 is the ultimate trail, all-mountain, and enduro wheelset.
Maxxis Minion DHF Front Tire – With a tread design that deftly balances rolling speed with braking and cornering traction, it's hard to find fault with the Minion DHF. That's probably why it's one of the most imitated tires in mountain biking.
Maxxis Minion DHR II Rear Tire – With side knobs borrowed from the legendary Minion DHF, but widened to provide more support, the DHR II corners like no other. The center tread features ramped leading edges to improve acceleration and sipes to create a smooth transition when leaning the bike. Paddle-like knobs on the center tread dig in under hard braking and help keep the bike under control. Pair it with a Minion DHF up front for the ultimate aggressive trail riding tire combo!
Bike Yoke Revive Dropper Post – This dropper post is extremely reliable because it's so simple. With only two dynamic seals in its hydraulic circuit, this is a smooth and durable post that will just keep working.
