The Norco Fluid 20 FS Complete Mountain Bike is the perfect tool for groms who want to shred it all. To build the perfect youth bike, Norco started with the Fluid: a super duper all-rounder trail bike that excels in pure versatility, reliability, and fun. But they didn't just size it down and call it a day. The youth Fluid has been carefully tweaked to accommodate lighter riders, with thoughtful geometry and an adult-caliber short travel suspension setup that provides more than enough cush for little rippers to ride fast enough that their old parents will have a heck of a time keeping up.
Fluid Aluminum Alloy Frame
Rockshox Monarch R Shock – The Monarch is a wolf in sheep's clothing. Its lightweight design not only delivers silky smooth travel, but thanks to the Solo Air spring, it also delivers a spring rate you'd generally only get from a much heavier coil shock. So, you get a durable, fully adjustable shock capable of smoothing out the most aggressive trails, while simultaneously saving you weight for epic cross-country riding.
Shock Adjustments – External Rebound Adjustment / Air Spring Pressure
RST First 24 Fork – The First is a workhorse XC fork, lightweight and packing the performance you want at a budget friendly price. Featuring a stiff while still being lightweight 28.6mm chassis the First is ready for whatever you want to throw at it. It uses the AIR spring system which has an air over coil negative spring and uses an in-leg XC optimized OCR damping system.
Fork Adjustments – External Compression Adjustment / Lock-out / Rebound Adjustments
Shimano Deore – A capable, efficient, and confidence-inspiring drivetrain. Wide enough gear ratio and good gear step optimized for everything from steep climbs to fast decents. Smooth shifting of front and rear in rhythm in order to maintain speed and acceleration in change of terrain. Less loss of pedaling power by rigid structure with easy and effortless shifting operation. Improved stability and chain retention of drivetrain in rough terrain.
Tekro Hydraulic Disc Jr. Lever – Great stopping power with a shorter reach on the levers optimized for smaller hands.
Maxxis MaxxDaddy Tires – Staggered, tightly spaced center lugs provide controllable speeds. The knob spacing increases near the shoulder lugs to produce two channels that hook up on hardpack berms to loose dirt on the trails.
Sizing – Optimized for riders 3'10" - 4'3". For riders 3'8" - 3'9" the bike will be slightly large but manageable, allowing for a growing in period.
