A badass touring boot that many top skiers have been using as their alpine boot as well (it's that comfortable), the Salomon S/Lab MTN Alpine Touring Ski Boots (they've made a slight name change from last season's MTN Lab) returns with a lightly revised colorway. Legit downhill performance on a level of most 120 flex alpine boots, a smooth low profile walk mode, and two-buckle simplicity that doesn't sacrifice heel hold are some of the reasons this boot caught fire, and they haven't changed. Now there's no reason to suffer sloppy, lackadaisical downhill performance when you've worked so hard to get up there - get the Salomon S/Lab MTN and change your life for the better.
Last: 98 mm – Precision fit 98 mm forefoot with average instep height.
Bootfitter's Notes – The S/Lab MTN has a moderately narrow 98 mm forefoot and slightly taller than average instep height. The boot can be widened to fit a much wider foot by a bootfitter with Grilamid punching experience, but toebox height will be lowered.
Flex: 120 – A stiff flex capable of powering wider skis.
Custom Fit 3D Liner | 100% Thermo Foam – Full thermoformable 3D liner with two loops.
Sensifit Shell – Strong and light shell design built with thinner walls to reduce weight, reinforced in strategic areas to avoid blowing out the shell when flexing forward on hard turns.
Shell – Grilamid
Cuff – Polypropionate
Spine – Carbon Fiber
24 mm Oversized Pivot – Reduced play for extreme precision and direct power transmission. Because many modern all mountain skis are wider, they require more torque to stay on edge. Oversized Pivot answers the need of wider skis.
Surelock Ski / Walk Mechanism – Low profile lever is located at the same level as the upper buckle and can be undone in the same movement. Maximum cuff release for touring and secure lock for skiing down. Horizontal positioning for mechanical reliability. Independent from the cuff buckle for more convenience when touring.
Motion Flex – The touring cuff's spine is made of carbon and composite fiber allowing for a 63˚ range of motion when skinning while guaranteeing a true and progressive alpine flex.
2 Light Micro Adjusting Buckles
45 mm Cinch Strap
ISO 9523 Touring Sole – Rockered sole with grip pads and tech fittings; not compatible with many alpine ISO 5355 bindings.
Compatible with Tech & Most Frame AT Bindings
