The Arc'teryx Procline Lite Alpine Touring Ski Boots are the latest revelation from the genius mind of footwear designer Federico Sbrissa (think TLT5 and Vulcan). Originally conceived as a tool for winter alpinists who craved both the flexibility of a climbing shoe and the power of a ski boot, the Procline series breaks new ground in both areas. In addition to an unreal 75˚ range of fore/aft cuff motion, the unique three-piece cuff design allows 35˚ of lateral flexibility for a level of security on rock and ice that's never been seen in a ski boot. In terms of actually skiing, the Procline Lite is also exceptional for such a light boot, and testers have reported no problems in driving 100+ mm skis in variable conditions. If you're committed to the concept of "fast and light" and your idea of a worthy trip includes ice, rock and snow all in a day, the Procline Lite is the tool you've been waiting for. Note: The Procline Lite uses a carbon infused Grilamid cuff instead of the carbon fiber overlaid cuff of the Procline Carbon boots, and flexes slightly softer.
