The Black Diamond Fritschi Xenic 10 Alpine Touring Ski Bindings offer impressively lightweight performance with the added piece of mind of reliable toe release in the even of a fall. These brakeless bindings are a dream to use out in the field, and they ski fantastically thanks to broad heel and toe support which directs energy right to your edges. For those heading deep into the mountains for their turns, the Black Diamond Fritschi Xenic 10 Alpine Touring Ski Bindings are some of the best in the business.
Easy Step-In Fixed-Stop Broad Pedal – The tip of the boot is optimally positioned by means of a fixed stop and a positioning guide. In response to even slight pressure on the broad step-in pedal the pin levers shift horizontally inward and quickly and precisely engage in the inserts of the boots.
Forward Toe Release – When the heel is released the boot tips forward. Only Fritschi bindings will then also release the boot from the frontal unit at the right time, between an angle of approx. 65° to 75°, depending on the form of the boot’s front.
Secure Downhill Skiing – The pin levers of the innovative frontal unit shift horizontally and thus absorb vertically acting forces. An unintended release caused by shocks from the bottom is prevented without the need to block the system while skiing downhill.
Direct Power Transmission – The power is directly transmitted to the skis via the core tower integrated in the compact heel unit. The large diameter of the core tower allows the broadest support of the system in this category.
Defined Release – The DIN values for the lateral and frontal release can be infinitely set on the Xenic 10. Additionally, it features 10 mm length compensation. With this, the pressure on the system remains constant, even when the skis are flexed, which ensures a defined release in any situation.
Sophisticated Walk Mode – Using the climbing aid as a lever the Xenic 10 can very easily be changed from the downhill to the uphill position with just half a turn of the heel. The stopper locks automatically on the first step. The walk-mode levels of 2° and 11° and the climbing aid, which is controllable with the pole, provide absolute ergonomic comfort in climbing uphill.
