Tecnica Mega 8 Ski Boots 2012: Looking for the ultimate in comfort and convenience in your ski boot? Look no further than the Tecnica Mega 8. Designed for novice to intermediate skiers the Mega 8 maintains great skiing characteristics while attending to all the comfort needs of your feet. A higher volume shell coupled with the Progressive Cushioning system provides the ultimate in comfort and the bragging rights of the Mega 8 Ski Boots.
The Mega 8 uses the Progressive Cushioning System (P.C.S.), which combines changes to the last, liner and footbed. The liner utilizes a thicker, slow memory ethaforam that offers a very comfortable, cushioning fit. The extra room in the shell last also allows for a thicker, multilayered footbed. The result is extreme comfort as well as enhanced shock absorption.
A Hook-and-Loop Fastener Spoiler in the back of the cuff allows you to easily adjust the spoiler for personalization. Move it in different positions or remove it altogether for a better fit.
The Power chassis can be removed for easier skiing in variable conditions. Lifters can be added for sole canting. With the Power Chassis, the skier will have added quickness, power and efficiency in each turn.
Soft Flex
The Progressive Flex System provides a flex proportional to the skiers’ relative size by modifying the plastic thickness in the spine of the lower shell. This allows for a consistent flex throughout the size range.
The Cuff Alignment enables the cuff to follow the shape of the lower leg, increasing comfort and enhanced performance. Dual Cuff Alignment (inside and outside) increases the effectiveness.
3 Position Catches can be easily moved to fit varying leg shapes. The caches have a range of 44mm: 22mm forward and 22mm back.
