Snowboarding | Portland, OR | He/Him
Erik is a pro snowboarder who’s on a mission to make the sport more inviting, inclusive, and accessible. We first got to know Erik back in 2014 when he worked at the evo Portland store. Today, Erik is active in hosting community outreach events for nonprofits that help introduce underprivileged kids to the outdoors. In 2018, when Erik began working with his sponsors to develop his first pro model products, he decided to use the opportunity as a way to help lower the financial barriers to entry in snowboarding. In addition, he wanted to promote increased environmental awareness within the industry. With those goals in mind, Erik created his own approach to sponsorship called CORE.
Made in collaboration with evo Ambassador Erik Leon, the Arbor Relapse Snowboard is a park board for the people. This is a pro-caliber deck built to handle Erik's blend of park, street, and freestyle riding, but true to the mission of his C.O.R.E. Initiative, it's also super accessible for a wide range of riders. The soft flex and durable construction that do so well in the park also make it an easy board to learn to ride on, and the relatively modest price tag offers unbeatable value.
