The latest and greatest from cult binding maker ATK is, indeed, pretty great. The ATK Freeraider 15 Evo Alpine Touring Ski Bindings remedy some minor issues with previous versions and keep ATK way out ahead in the light but bomber tech binding world. The Evo series bindings feature an automatically locking ski brake (the old push-button one could be balky at times) and the new U.H.V® (Uphill Hardness Variator) that allows adjustment of the toepiece jaw retention. A slightly revised toepiece makes lining up and stepping into the toe easier than ever, making an already easy step-in action even smoother.
Release Adjustment Toe Piece® – Easy Entry System® toepiece gemometry makes step-in easy and confident with any tech boot available on the market, even with worn soles. Toe retention is also adjustable in addition to heel retention.
U.H.V.® System (Up-hill Hardness Variator) – Allows you to change the uphill locking retention, compensates for tech insert wear, and provides correct locking strength for users of different weights.
Snow Pack Proof System® – No snow pack under the toe arms, even with multiple transitions.
Release Value Adjustment – 7 to 15
Fore/Aft Adjustment Range – 25mm
ATK Freeride Spacer Included
Automatic Brake System® – Activated by rotating the heel piece from uphill to downhill mode.
Cam Release System® – Heel pins rotate outward via a cam mechanism for the smoothest step-in and release in the industry.
Elastic Response System® – An elastic sliding system with 14mm of travel ensures natural ski flex, reduces pressure on the ski-boot-binding system, and improves binding release performance.
Magneto Heel Flaps® – Flat, +35mm, +49mm
Requires Boots with Toe and Heel Tech Fittings
Materials – 7075 Aluminum, POM (Polyoxmethylene), Stainless Steel
We recommend a brake width equal to or at most 15 mm wider than the ski waist width.
