Stratelling the border between Bolivia and Peru, it is also the largest lake in South America and a recognized UNESCO site. Beyond its impressive stats, the crystal clear lake holds deep cultural significance in the ancient civilizations of South America. Inca civilizations believed that Lake Titicaca is the birthplace of the Sun and its people, otherwise known as the cradle of the world.
