For beginners, Miramar is an excellent spot to start dialing in your surfing. The water is warm and there is a great progression from white water to small breaks all the way up to the big leagues. For those wishing to take advantage of the larger waves in the area, there is an epic line up. Puerto Sandino is one of the longest waves in Nicaragua and is about a 20-minute boat ride from the hotel. With an offshore break, an amazing left-hander over a sandbar awaits.
