Technical Details
The Reckoner 110 features an all new Triaxial Braided Core construction, surrounding the aspen wood core with a full wrap of interlocking triaxal fiberglass material. The idea is to amp up torsional strength without sacrificing the natural flex of the wood core. Wrapped around this is K2’s Spectral Braid laminate, featuring a tighter weave underfoot and a looser weave at the tip and tail to fine tune the flex. Longitudinal Carbon Boost stringers add dampness and response, and the whole thing is held together with Bio-Resin, which strengthens material bonding within the core, adds toughness in cold temperatures, and is more sustainable than traditional resins. K2 slims the waist width down to 110mm underfoot and adds a little more taper to the tip and tail shape, compared to the outgoing Reckoner 112. This brings the 110 into more versatile all mountain territory while maintaining soft snow maneuverability. It also helps to differentiate the 110 from the wider, more heavily rockered Reckoner KF.

Ride Impressions
I rode the Reckoner 110 in the 184cm length, mounted at the factory recommended line. This felt perfect for my 5’10” height – nimble enough to whip around in trees and tight spaces while maintaining good stability at speed. There’s plenty of rocker at both the tip and tail, so you could easily size up if that’s your jam.
Right off the bat, the ski feels pleasingly loose and intuitive to ride. The recommended mount point is fairly progressive at 5.5cm back from center, but not so much that directional skiers will feel off-balance – there’s a huge sweet spot to play with. The relatively soft flex in the tip ramps up smoothly to a pretty stout feel underfoot, which gives a nice sense of stability when you need to straightline through some chop. Deep rocker lines and a 110mm waist width provide ample float in soft snow, and it’s super easy to throw the tails out to drift, smear, and slarve your turns. Altogether, the shape, flex, and mount point add up to a surfy, playful feel.
K2 didn’t skimp on energy and pop in this layup, so if you’re the kind of skier who seeks out natural features and ducks into the park on the way back to the lift, you’ll have a great time. With that said, the Reckoner 110 isn’t exclusively for the freestyle crowd and it still delivers as an all mountain ski. That stout flex underfoot means it feels great laid over on edge to carve a turn, and it won’t start flopping around too much when the snow firms up.
While the most aggressive freeriders may want to look elsewhere for a truly hard-charging ski, the Reckoner 110 is more confidence inspiring in variable resort conditions than the Reckoner KF, which features a more soft snow specific shape and flex. If you aim for a playful ride with plenty of all terrain capability, the Reckoner 110 delivers the goods.
