Forum Youngblood Chilly Dog Wide Rocker Snowboard 2010: At every hill where parks exist, the Youngblood Wides are a tight crew with hefty waists. But until this season, not every member of the brotherhood rode the same. For 2010, the line was dialed in so tight that when stepping up to move west or downsizing for a rail comp, each deck will ride just like its bigger or smaller blood brother. Fifty-six, fifty-two or forty-eight, narrow or wide, the crew will be ripping with the same style from this season on.
Flex: 4 (1 Softer – 10 Stiffer) The Youngblood is built for an intermediate rider who is ready to step it up and wants a board with enough flex to soak up the pow and lap the park.
Gnar Core: Made of high-grade Hunter S. Aspen wood to reduce overall board weight while still providing a snappy and responsive ride. Grainbelt reinforcement adds extra stomping strength under the bolts
Chilly Dog Tech: Shaped like a boiled brat instead of a slippery banana, dead fish or ‘80s rocker, Forum’s continuous radius rise will surface when pointed either tip or tail first. The Chilly Dog hits transitions smoothly, won’t plow into the lip and resurfaces like bad onions and jalapenos when landing switch.
The Youngblood’s wide waist will accommodate boot sizes 11.5 and over to reduce toe and heel drag and increase control.
Freebase: This base comes free with the board and glides on a snowy surface. Waxes easy, looks good with die-cut graphics and protects the core from getting worked.
Swingers Club Tech: CNC machines profile Forum wood cores so the ends are as skinny as a supermodel. Less density at the ends also means the tip rises faster in untracked terrain, making for a quick exit from sketchy situations
