Splitboarding creates unique demands on your boots. Backcountry footwear must be stiff enough to respond to nuanced inputs while riding, but comfortable and forgiving enough to walk in, all day long. The Deeluxe Spark XV PF Snowboard Boots are the fifth generation of Xavier De Le Rue's pro model, and show just how much better a dedicated splitboard boot can be. With customizable flexes and support, you can personalize them for maximum efficiency in the backcountry, no matter what mode you're in. Touches like an extra-durable rubber coating on the outsole, a crampon-compatible heel, and the instant adjustability of the XLC collar put these on the short list of dedicated backcountry boots.
Flex Rating 7 (1 Soft - 10 Stiff) – High support for all-day backcountry splitboarding.
Custom Flex – Two separate flex zones at the ankle provide complete control of the boot‘s flex and ensure your heel stays locked in place.
TPS Shield – Available as an accessory, the TPS Shield strengthens the boot’s tongue, providing a stiffer flex and additional support.
Preshaped XLS Collar – This system offers enhanced comfort and longer strides while skinning. Loosening a powerstrap connected to an exoskeleton at the rear of the boot extends the boot's range of motion an additional 8°, resulting in strides that can be 20 to 30cm longer.
Performance Flex Liner – The Performance Flex liner is designed to offer premium performance and optimal support. The back provides stability while special L-shaped pads anchor the heel.
L3 Lacing – Armed with two clasps and two handles, this design creates two separate lacing zones—one cradles the foot and calf while the other locks down the ankle and heel. Thanks to these separate zones, the boot securely anchors your heel for a refined fit that enhances energy transmission.
Powerstrap – By securing the calf in place, the Powerstrap adds additional support to a boot's lacing system.
Vibram Sole – This mountaineering sole offers tremendous traction and durability.
Rock Guard – This layer of rubber wraps around the toebox and sides of the boot, maximizing durability by providing protection from rocks and ice.
Backbone – This reinforced panel cradles the back of the boot to maximize durability and enhance response.
Backwelt – Plastic backwelt features a grooved heel for rocking semiautomatic crampons.
D-Tex – Waterproof and breathable, this membrane ensures feet stay warm and dry.
